Robert E. Campbell and Descendants...cont.

Legal Papers
The following papers were too large to be scanned so the originals could be viewed.  I have typed the records so we may all see what was in the papers.  Some words were very hard for me to make out, so there might be some 'blanks'.  If the words appear spelled wrong, I typed them just as they were written on the documents.
The following papers were found in Oregon and Howell Co., Missouri record books:

Howell Co., MO Circuit Court Book A, transcribed E. C. Howell and Susan Howell vs William H. Campbell
On motion of plaintiff the petition in this cause is amended by adding the name of Susan Howell as plaintiff and defaudant filed his answer.
E. C. Howell Susan Howell vs                    }Civil Action William H. Campbell
Now comes the plaintiff and the defraudant, both parties announce themselves ready for trial.  Neither party asking for a jury; the cause was tried by the court, and after hearing the testimony of both Parties and the argument of the counsel, find the facts in the cause to be as follows:  That Robert E. Campbell was the father of Susan Howell, and William H. Campbell; that the warrant filed herin No. 34005 was issued to said Robert E. Campbell being dated March 20th A. D. 1852, that said Robert E. Campbell died between the first and fourth day of April A. D. 1852, after said warrant had been issued, that the only heirs; the said Robert E. Campbell left were Sarah Campbell, Susan Campbell, after Susan married to plaintiff E. C. Howell, and William H. Campbell, that the said Sarah Campbell died, a short time after her father and left no heirs except sister Susan and her brother William H. Campbell, and that now the said William H. Campbell and the said Susan, now Susan Howell, are the only heirs entitled to distribution in the estate of the said Robert E. Campbell.  It is therefore ordered and adjudged that all the right, title and interest, both in law and in equity of the said Robert E. Campbell be visited in the said William H. Campbell, and the said Susan Howell, as fully as absolutely, as the same did urst in the Robert E. Campbell in his life time, and that the said Warrant No. 34005 be delivered into their possession.
