November Lunch Meeting

On a beautiful fall day 48 of Mac's Old Team met for lunch at Ryan's Family Steakhouse in Bridgeton. Larry Merritt joined us for lunch and brought four beautiful coffee table books for door prizes. Larry has an article to write for the Boeing magazine concerning the 45th anniversary of John Glenn's first Mercury orbital flight.Larry is interested in hearing some feedback from those who participated in preparing the spacecraft for launch. If you have a tale to tell please contact Larry at 314-232-5421.
Roe Snyder picked up 20 copies of "The Space Shuttle A Photographic History" at the Dollar General store. Roe was kind enough to pass these onto the group at his cost of $1.00. Thanks Roe for thinking of your teammates. This is a beautiful book and is certainly worth the dollar.
Ron Naumer and Gary Kaletta joined us after a too long absence. Lawson Hart, William Spradley and Jim Woodruff joined us for the first time. Hope you all enjoyed the lunch and fellowship and become regulars.
In addition to Larry's books we had the usual suspect list of door prizes, including golf balls. The winners this month were Glenn Bower (who else wins so often),Bob Lake, Joe Martinez, Howard Moeller,Josey Page,Carl Scheske, Bud Schultz and Dan Venverlloh. Josey Page and Glenn Bowers provided additional door prizes for future meetings. Thank you.
We will have a lunch meeting on Wed 13 Dec at Stegton's in St Charles. This lunch will include several MDC/BAC retirees groups. Spouses are invited. For more details please see the notice on Mac's Old Team homepage.
