September Lunch Meeting at Village China WOK, St. Peters, MO
Sept. 8, 2004

Mac's Ole Team started the fall lunch season at the Village China Wok on 8 Sept. Fifty nine teammates showed up and enjoyed the fine food and gabfest. Pete Holzwarth and Dick Place made their first appearance and hopefully had a good time and will be back. Dick was a winner of one of the fabulous door prizes so he will be sure to be back. Fred Fairbanks was able to attend after a long absence. Welcome back Fred.

Ed Klein, one of our representatives on the Retiree Advisory Board, attended and brought us up to date on the latest news. Hewitt has replaced Towers Perin as the administrator for the retiree's health plans. They will represent all Boeing retirees, about 144,000 worldwide. Each retiree should receive a mailing from Hewitt around 20 Sept that will provide info on the service to be provided, which will include a website. Information on the 2005 health plans will also be in this mailing. New PIN numbers will be assigned to each retiree. Ed stressed the importance of keeping track of your PIN number so that you will be able to communicate with Hewitt.
The group gave Ed a round of applause in appreciation for his work on the RAB and for taking the time to provide us with the latest info. Thanks Ed and keep up the good work on our behalf.

The annual open house meeting sponsored by Boeing for the health care participating plans will be held at the Heart of St Charles Conference Center, IS70 and 5th St, St. Charles on 10 Nov, 9:00AM to 2:00PM and 6:00PM to 8:00PM.

The big winners of attendance prizes this month were: Fairbanks & Kohlberg (Harpoon ties); Plamp, Stack,Cordes,Place,Young,Doerr (Golf balls); Hill, Lake (cups); Steele, Fenier (Hell Fire patches); Esker, Fletcher (Boeing pens) and the host Village China Wok provided $5.00 gift certificates and the winners of those were Hawkins,Groh, Moeller, Graham, Moeller, Gaumer, Dillon, Reitter, Joe Bell and Wolter. Congratulations to all the winners and especially to Bo Hill for drawing his own name.

Our next lunch will be at the Lockhaven Country Club, hosted by Dave Sonderen, on Wed 13 Oct. Wives/friends are invited. This is a beautiful setting and dining room. The area is surrounded by many attractions so make a date with the little lady and enjoy a great day. Directions, etc can be found on the website. See you there.
