June Lunch Meeting at Grappa Grill, St. Charles

A great lunch was enjoyed by 54 "old teammates" at the Grappa Grill on 8 June. Max Wawrzyniak made his first visit with the group. Another first timer was Jackie Fletcher who recently retired. Jackie has attended lunches with hubby Tom but now she is a full fledged member on her own. Now it would be great if some of the other lady retirees started to attend. Welcome to the group Max and Jackie. Hope you had a good time and will be back often. We were glad to see Harry Steele back with us after some medical problems. Harry says he is living on his boat and enjoying the good life. Great to see you back Harry.
The big winners of the door prizes were Dave Freeman, Bob Groh, Joe Martinez, Howard Moeller, Tom Murray, Rus Ramberger, and Harry Steele. Wade Wilkerson was the BIG winner by winning one of the,and perhaps the last one, coveted Harpoon neckties.
Carl Scheske reported from the hospital that his operation was a success and he hoped to get released on the 8th. Remember our teammates who are having some medical problems. Jim Fleming, Joe Halleman, Rick McGee,Ed Stanwich, and Joe Trammel are the ones we know about.
There is no lunch scheduled in July and August. Enjoy the summer. Take the grandkids fishing. We will see you in September.
