Mac's Old Team met for lunch on a beautiful April day at Ryan's Family Steak House in Bridgeton. The food was good and the fellowship even better. Gene Carroll and Gary Eisenhart made their first lunch appearance. Hope they had a good time and will be back often. Hugh Harrington was able to return and looked quite good after his bout with cancer. Bill Mayfield flew in all the way from Florida. Jerry Roberts cashed in his "snowbird" outfit and brought Bob Schepp along for good measure.
We have quite a few old teammates who are suffering various physical ailments. Be sure to look in on those who are under the weather.
Jeanne Lake provided handcrafted items for door prizes. She had made these for the ladies out our Feb Valentine's lunch but icy roads had prevented her from attending. A number of wives will be pleasantly surprised when hubby shows up with a nice gift. Then there was the usual assortment of "wonderful" prizes given away. The big winners this month were John Allquist,Dick Ampleman, Glen Bowers ( how does Glen manage to win every month?), Bill Doer, Dennis Gerth, Bob Graham, Bob Henke, Warren Rundell, Bob Schepp, Carl Scheske, Ray Tucker, and John Wolter. Congratulations to the winners.
Get your reservations in for the Annual Spring Golf Tournament to Dave Szukalski. The tournament will be at the Wentzville Bear Creek Golf Course on Thurs. 18 May. 8:00AM shotgun tee off. this is a four man best ball scramble. If you don't have a team Dave will pair you up with others. This is a great time of fun and fellowship and even a little serious golf. Dave can be reached at 636-227-5581.
The May lunch will be on 10 May, 11:00AM, at the Grappa Grill, 1644 Country Club Plaza, St Charles 63303. See you there.
