WAR BABIES-WATCHING THE EASTERN SKY-WE'RE TAKING LIVES” (Anthem For The Unborn)-
WELL DONE-WHAT IS THE WATER-
WHATEVER BRINGS ME CLOSER

“WAR BABIES”   by Jeff Leslie rev. 1/88-3/12/2000

There’s a battle in our nation
With victims high in number
Are we up for the occasion?
To create this mighty thunder?

Now our terms are firmly given
But we’ll not do the fighting
In our place, the unborn children
Will do all the sacrificing

War babies
War babies
War babies
Poor war babies

Young Johnny’s gone to war
But to home he’ll not be marching
For he will die before he’s born
While you and I just sit there watching

And since America has voted
There’s no reason to be violent
Because we’ve heard every emotion
Except from those who've been made silent

War babies
War babies
War babies
Poor war babies

"WATCHING THE EASTERN SKY"   by Jeff Leslie  1993

Storms from a tempest blow
Earth quakes from deep below
Streets like a river flow
Flames from the forest glow
No need to turn on the news late tonight
Now is the time to be watching the eastern sky
From now on these eager eyes
Are watching the eastern sky

I’ve witnessed miracles
The strange and impossible
Things that are being done
From a world that is yet to come
All of these wonders just can't be denied
Now is the time to be watching the eastern sky
From now on these eager eyes
Are watching the eastern sky

All of these wonders just can't be denied
Now is the time to be watching the eastern sky
From now on these eager eyes
Are watching the eastern sky

"WE'RE TAKING LIVES” (Anthem For The Unborn)"     by Jeff Leslie  3/86,  12/89

Little ones -- a thousand wonders racing through your minds
One of them, how to save the race of Humankind
Beating hearts, stilled without ccompassion
Voices never heard, sacrificed for selfish choices
Washing hands won't cleanse us from the stain of taking lives

Taking lives.  We have eyes but we don't see
We're taking lives.  We'll never know what they could be
We're taking lives.  Could have been us so easily.
I wonder then would we believe we're taking lives

America, we promised that our children would be free
It's up to us to make their home a land of liberty
“Let freedom ring...” we proudly sing with colors flying
Deep inside we know a million hearts are dying
We can't ignore...  Someday we'll have to answer to our Lord

Taking lives.  We have eyes but we don't see
We're taking lives.  We'll never know what they could be
We're taking lives.  Could have been us so easily.
I wonder then would we believe we're taking lives

“Land of the free and the home of the brave”
Can never be until all of the unborn are saved!

"WELL DONE"  by  Jeff Leslie  11/16/90  (Eph 6;11-17)

The path is set before me
Straight and narrow is the way
But the road will not be easy
In the darkness or the day
However, I have faith abundantly
And victory I'll claim
When I stand before the Father
I am going to hear Him say

“Well done, My child, well done
You've fought the good fight and won
Well done, My child, well done
You've fought the good fight and won.”

My breastplate is my righteousness
My feet are shod with peace
My helmet is salvation
And my faith will shield with ease
And since greater is the Spirit
That is living within me
When I stand before the Father
I know what His words will be

“Well done, My child, well done
You've fought the good fight and won
Well done, My child, well done
You've fought the good fight and won.”

Oh, there is a name for my rival
Over darkness the ruler is he
But he is no match for the Bible
And the Words of the Father to me

“Well done, My child, well done
You've fought the good fight and won
Well done, My child, well done
You've fought the good fight and won.”

"WHAT IS THE WATER"  by Jeff Leslie  11/24/00

What is the water that falls from the sky
If it doesn't quench the thirsty and dry
So they may thrive producing their fruit
Providing the earth with all that is good

What is the Word of the unseen Lord
If it's never returned to receive its reward
So that all who may hear and receive its pure light
Will see what faith can reveal in the night

What is the Man who has given His life
If there's no one who's willing to testify
That Someone before them has conquered the grave
And you know the secret, you know the Way

“WHATEVER BRINGS ME CLOSER”  by Jeff Leslie  12/22/96

Sometimes it’s a rainstorm
Or the rainbow in its wake
Sometimes just a birdsong
Is all that it would take
Lord, paint a golden sunset
That’s all You have to do
For these things bring me closer to You

Whatever brings me closer
I’m ready to receive
The wonders of creation
Or the test of my belief
Whatever brings me closer
I’m longing to go through
Whatever brings me closer to You

If the world should turn against me
And put stripes across my back
I’ll bear the cross with honor
I’m set for the attack
To get to know You better
That’s what I want to do
Whatever brings me closer to You

The joy that comes in the morning
Must dawn from the darkest of night
So I’ll gladly welcome the shadow
That ends in a neverending light

Whatever brings me closer
I’m ready to receive
The wonders of creation
Or the test of my belief
Whatever brings me closer
I’m longing to go through
Whatever brings me closer to You
