When the midnight sky surrounds me
And has found me all alone

As the evening breeze blows by me
If it would fly me to Your home

Instead I sit and count the stars
And connect the ones that spell Your Name
For when I let You have my heart
You washed me like a gentle summer rain
Until the day I’m where You are
I’ll worship You in all I say and do

As I sit and play this song of love
I’m longing for the day

And every note I sing
Is also bringing near my fate

As the sun on an ocean of blue
lights a pathway of gold
The palm trees and I bow down, too
as a mighty wind blows
And white waves that dance in and out of the sand
Are washing my feet on the beach where I stand
Preparing the way for the great I AM

Here with every creation on earth

For the glorious day You return
The bird wings so high up above
beat in time with my heart
And make my heart leap with Your love
to the height that they are
You call out my name, I get higher and higher
The sound in my soul is a heavenly choir
To worship You now is my only desire

I would bravely climb the highest
Up the cliffs and ledges tall
Unafraid that I may fall
I would long to reach the landing
That was nearest to the heavens
For to reach the highest peak
Would be worth it all to me
If Joy was in the ocean
I would find the fastest river
Swim through rapids, over falls
Toward the mighty ocean's call
I would want to reach the water
Where the largest whales are playing
For to swim the mighty sea
Would be worth it all to me
If Peace was in the valley
I would seek the deepest canyon
Make my home and safely hide
In walls a thousand stories high
But Peace is in my heart
Where the Spirit of the Lord is
With the Joy and perfect Love

I lived, though life for me had no direction
And darkness clouded every step I'd take
My sin had kept me blind from your affection
I'd sleep and fear the moment I would wake
But darkness would be broken when I looked into Your Word
And saw that through Your sacrifice my blindness could be cured
It was love at first sight when I saw Your love for me
It was love at first sight when I finally believed
I looked into Your Word just to see what I could see
And it was love at first sight when I saw Your love for me
Your love gave life to me with no exception
My eyes that once were cloudy, now are clear
And now I see Your love in its perfection
I feel it, too, and hold Your presence near
The darkness has been broken since I looked into Your Word
And saw that through Your sacrifice my blindness could be cured

God looked down upon the earth
Compassion filled His heart
Longing to express Himself
He knew just where to start
“I'll give them My Son,” He said
“To walk across the land.
With Him I'll express Myself.”
And love became a Man
“Every word
My Son will say
Will be as though My own
And all who listen and believe
May call My house their home.
The blind will see, the deaf will hear
I'll heal through my Son's hands
These things happened as He said
When love became a Man
Some will scheme to kill Him
Like a sacrificial lamb
They'll hang Him on a cross and then
To finish their cruel plans
They'll place Him in a tomb to stay
As soon as He has died
But I will raise Him from the grave
And bring Him to My side.
One day I will send Him back
To gather those who wait
And bring them here to live with Me
Rewarding their good faith
We will live forever
In a never ending land
All because I love them
And my love became a Man.”
