Time Will Stand Still

Title of Your Page

Jacqueline’s Junque

Awakened suddenly from a dream
In the chilling night all by myself;
The only sound the rhythmic ticking
Of the clock sitting high on a shelf.
Trying hard to compose my thoughts,
Realizing I was merely asleep;
Yet my lips still moist from kisses,
Deliriously sweet and so deep.

I am certain I felt you beside me,
The warmth of your sensuous fingers;
My skin still warm with the memory
Your scent in the air... ever lingers.
I wrap my arms tight around me,
Ignoring the chill in the air;
The only sound the clock ticking,
And the wind as it blows through my hair.

For now, I'll have to keep waiting
Keeping my love locked in my heart;
But someday... soon I'll be with you,
Never more shall we be apart.
I'll return to my dreams imagining
The day, sweet lover you will;
At last, lay down here beside me
And time will finally stand still.
