Of all the things I'm grateful for,
On this Thanksgiving day,
I'm thankful for the people
God has sent along my way.
They've healed my heart when it was hurt,
Dried tears while I still wept,
Encouraged, supported and prayed for me,
When awake or when I slept.
Some of them are family
And have touched me since my birth.
Others are friends I gathered
In my time upon this earth.
Regardless of when they came along,
Or the loving role they played,
I knew they were an answer from God,
For hearing me as I prayed.
My cries sent up to heaven,
And heard from up above;
And once again... someone else
Was sent to me in love.
For them, my heart is grateful,
There's no price I can afford to pay
For loving friends and family
On this... Thanksgiving day.
