Drake lost his wife Lisa in the plane crash off the coast of remote island that belonged to the evil Santiago. He was distraught, believing that he had lost his only chance at love. But one night, a new woman came slamming into his life - literally. Keesha Ward was driving in the worst snow storm Port Charles had seen in years when she lost control of her car and crashed it. Drake was there and helped the young woman into his nearby resturant. The two talked to pass the time. He even cooked her a gormet meal. She left leaving Drake wondering if there was more to this...

Brenda and Justus were on the same plane crash that killed Lisa. Although they escaped the crash unharmed, tragedy still loomed over their heads. Once they got on a nearby island, they were chased by evil men and in the end, Brenda presumed Justus was head. Heartbroken, she returned to Port Charles fearing that she had lost the man she was growing very close to. However, Justus was still alive and fighting to return to Brenda. In the end, the two were reunited and are now deepening their relationship. Only time will tell what is next.

Justus was preparing a special night for he and Brenda. After agreeing to help Ema and Ken against the charges of murder, he invited Brenda out for a night on the town. The two danced and then Justus went down on one knee and asked Brenda to marry him. At first Brenda was not sure...she had a lot of baggage that she would be bringing into this marriage. But Justus pointed out that every relationship included baggage. She had to agree and then said yes to his proposal. The newly engaged couple then decided to go to the ReVamped fashion show where Brenda could check out her competition!

At the fashion show, Brenda realized that ReVamped could pose a big threat to her new company. She needed to come up with a great idea now that Sugar and Spice had to be put on hold because of Georgie's injury. Justus soon thought of something - A Dream Wedding series. Deception would plan and put on a wedding with the happy couple agreeing to be models for the company. Brenda thought it was a wonderful idea but refused to submit her and Justus as the couple. She wanted something more intimate for them.

Drake was found himself serving dinner to another one of Port Charles' ladies. This time he met with Lois Cerullo who he found out was connected to Brenda, the woman who had been on the plane crash that killed his wife. The two quickly bonded over a meal. Lois told him that maybe visiting the crash site would help him move past what happened to Lisa. Drake agreed and asked Lois to come with him. She agreed and called Brenda to let her know what she was doing.

After she got off the phone with Lois, Brenda received another phone call. It was from Julia. Julia had news she wanted to share with Brenda and she hoped it was good - she was coming back to Port Charles! Brenda was overjoyed and agreed that they had a lot of catch up on. She filled Julia in on the fact that she was now engaged to Justus.
