Faith Murder Mystery

Faith Rosco is dead. The evidence is pointing to one person...but did Elizabeth really kill her?

Early one morning, DA Ric Lansing was called to the scene of a murder. He arrived to find Officer Lucky Spencer looking over the dead body of Faith Roscoe. The woman who had placed herself on many people's most hated list was finally dead. But who did it? The two quickly came up with a solid list of suspects - Sonny Corinthos, Jason Morgan, and Lorenzo Alcazar just being a few. But then Lucky found something that shocked both men. He held up a piece of jewelry that Faith must have ripped off her attacker - and Ric immediately recognized it as something he had given his ex-wife Elizabeth. He quickly pocketed it and left the scene unsure of how to proceed.

At the same time, Elizabeth was having nightmares. She had flashes of an argument with Faith and feelings of great anger. But she couldn't remember exactly what happened the night that Faith Rosco had been killed. Whatever it was - she had blacked it out. The thought that she might have been the one to attack Faith aroused guilt and fear in Elizabeth. What if she had done it? What if she was caught? She began to worry that she would lose her son, Cameron. She went to visit Nikolas and ended up confessing what had happened. He told her he would help her no matter what the cost.

In the meantime, Ric arranged to meet Lucky to discuss what to do. A set of prints had been found on the murder weapon, and so far the PCPD did not know who they belonged to. Elizabeth's prints were not on file so it was very possible that they were hers. Both soon realized that they would put their careers on the line to protect Elizabeth. In the middle of their talk, Nikolas called Lucky to explain that Elizabeth was at Wyndermere and needed him. Lucky left, lying to Ric as to where he was going. He definately wasn't willing to trust the man who had kidnapped his cousin and hurt Elizabeth in the past. Ric went back to the station and dug himself in further by having a doctored lab report read that there were no fingerprints found on the weapon used to kill Faith. Lucky met with Elizabeth and Nikolas and promised her that she would be safe. She would not lose her son. Both men agreed that it would best of Elizabeth and Cameron came to Wyndermere to stay until it was all figured out. While Nikolas left to get Cameron, Lucky comforted Elizabeth. He still cares deeply for her...and she for him.

When Nikolas and Cameron returned, Lucky got a chance to see Elizabeth with her son. He was blown away. The trio started to relax and Elizabeth actually found a reason to smile. Nikoals than suggested that the three of them head over to Helena's masquerade party. Lucky agreed, chosing to go as his nickname Cowboy. Elizabeth also agreed, but refused to give away her costume. She wanted to suprise them.

Lucky, Liz and Nikolas all showed up at Helena's party and walked straight into a huge revelation. Lucky and Nikolas soon found out that they have another brother. Talon Travis is the son of Luke and Laura. Elizabeth was there standing beside Lucky, willing to help him take in the news. Temporarily forgetting about all the problems surrounding them, Lucky and Elizabeth went back to Wyndermere to relax and spend time with Cameron before going to have a family dinner at Bobbie's Brownstone. It was obvious to them that their attraction was getting stronger as they bathed Cameron together.

Meanwhile, separate to the investigation Lucky was supposedly carrying out, Talon Travis had done his own looking into the case. Something was off to him...he just knew it. But he didn't know how to prove it. He took his suspicions all the way to the police comissioner, telling Mac he believed that Lucky and the DA, Ric were not telling the entire truth. Mac also said he had suspicions...but not abot the police work being done. Something was off but he figured it had more to do with the fact that Faith was in the mob. Of course there were no clues. If it was a hit, then the assassin woud have covered their tracks. Each wanted to look into it further though.

Things had been quiet, and Elizabeth began to assume things were blowing over. She settled into her renewed relationship with Lucky. However, she didn't know that things were about to blow to hell. John Durant had just found out that there were prints on the murder weapon. And to make matters worse...she received a mysterious letter. Whoever had written it claimed to have seen exactly what Elizabeth had done. Upset, she was comforted by Lucky and managed to pull it together for Cameron's party. When Ric showed up she pulled him aside to show him the letter. She even suggested that she undergo hypnosis. He agreed, and took the letter seriously, telling her the steps he had done to keep her safe and returning the necklace she had dropped at the scene.

At first one might think the appearnce of Kyan Thomas to the Quartermaine mansion was unrelated to the events of Faith's death. The teenager quickly made an impression on Edward Quartermaine by claiming to be the son of Justus Ward. He was angry that his father had abandoned him. Finally Justus was callled in and confirmed that he was indeed Kyan's father. He had a tentative conversation with his newfound son. It was then that it was revealed that Faith Roscoe was his mother. Kyan soon heard of his mother's violent death and how it was unsolved. He vowed to change all that!

Elizabeth was on the docks when Kyan struck. He had figured out that she was the number one suspect and was ready to exact his own version of justice. He took Elizabeth from the docks right then and there! He took her to an abandoned building and explained just who he was - the son of the woman she had murdered. Elizabeth tried to counter his arguements - she told him that she was unsure that she had done it. Plus, Faith had been the one who killed her first child with Ric. She made sure she kept her voice even and non threatening. She didn't want to upset him.

Elizabeth and Kyan began to see that they had things in common. He began to see that what he was doing was not going to help matters. He agreed to let her go and Elizabeth returned to a frantic Lucky - who had just gone to Luke and Laura for help. She hoped that Kyan would be alright...and that he would be the only one to realize she was a suspect. But that wasn't to be - John also caught on. And he was using the information to blackmail Ric.
