The program has seen a rise to prominence in recent years, even appearing in the NJCAA D-II national rankings in the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Amateur baseball in Missouri lost a legend
on August 25, 2006 with the passing of Thomas
"Duke" Hamilton. Duke played and managed in
leagues in the St. Louis area for over
50 years. For the past several years, his
Eagles team provided a home for many of
the FV ballplayers in the summer time.
His passion for baseball was outdone only by his
kindness and generosity, and he will be greatly
missed. God bless you, Duke.
