"Do I look ok?" Jana asked Nikki as she spun around in a circle.
"Uh huh why are you so nervous?"
"It’s been like 3 months since I saw Nick I think that gives me right to be nervous."
Nikki grinned at Jana.
"And well you know."
"What?"
"You’re going to make me say it?"
"Duh!"
"I’m going to tell him how I feel." Jana replied smiling.
"And what made you change your mind?"
Jana shrugged.
"I know what did you don’t have to tell me."
"Fine then now leave." Jana said as she pushed Nikki toward the door.
"Well ok then you have fun in Carter land and use a condom damn it. Don’t need any little Nicks running around."
Jana rolled her eyes and said, "Go home."
"Yeah to my boyfriend."
Jana rolled her eyes again and said, "Maybe I should be the one telling you about condoms."
"Yeah sure whatever."
"It’s true you and AJ do it like rabbits."
"I’m going now."
"Bye." Jana said cheerfully as Nikki walked out.
"Ok Jana breathe it’s going to be ok. It’s not like you never seen Nick in your life before. Calm down and go open the damn door." Jana said to herself as she walked over to the door after Nick knocked on it.
Jana opened the door and saw Nick standing there smiling at her. She let him in and could feel the butterflies grow in her stomach when he started walking around.
"Hi." Jana said softly.
Nick turned around toward her and smiled.
"No reply?"
"Hey."
"What’s wrong?"
"Nothing." Nick replied looking at her.
"Ok."
"So what do you have planned?"
Jana grinned at him.
"Oh yeah?"
"Oh my god you have the dirtiest mind."
"Can’t help it."
"I really don’t have anything planned I just figured we could go with the flow."
Nick nodded then sat down on the couch propping his feet on the coffee table and then reached for the remote turning on the TV.
"Make yourself at home."
Nick smiled at her and said, "Planned on it."
Jana sighed as she sat next to Nick and crossed her arms over her chest.
"Is there something bothering you?"
Jana shook her head ‘no’ keeping her eyes on the TV.
"I don’t believe you."
"Oh well." Jana said shrugging.
"Is it me?" Nick asked looking at her.
She shook her head ‘yes’.
"Did I do something?"
Jana shrugged.
"Tell me."
"No."
"Please?" Nick began to beg.
Jana looked at him, pitiful just plain pitiful. She shook her head then went back to watching TV.
"Come on you know you want to tell me."
"Not really."
"Fine."
"Fine." Jana said as she got up and went into her bedroom.
Nick sat on the couch for a few more minutes then followed Jana into her bedroom. He walked in and saw her laying on her stomach with her face in a pillow listening to music. He studied her laying there for the longest time before he decided on moving. He kicked his shoes off on the way to the side of the bed. He crawled up next to her on his side staring at her. She was trying to stifle her crying but it just made it easier to identify the fact that she was crying.
"Jana?" Nick whispered as he started rubbing her back.
She didn’t respond.
"Are you going to be ok?"
Jana looked over at him with her mascara running and her eyes red. Nick smiled a little half smile at her as she wiped her tears.
"Are you going to be ok?"
"No."
"What’s wrong?"
"I have to tell you something."
"Ok."
"Don’t say anything until I finish."
"Ok."
"Nick, when I first met you I hated you for numerous reasons. A lot of the reasons you had what I wanted. You were famous and your dreams had come true and ever since I could talk I wanted all that you have. And well obviously none of my dreams came true so I settled for another little fantasy type dream. I mean writing I’ll still be doing something that I wanted to be but I’m not going to be going what I love. So I hated you because it was easy basically. Then you had to go and be nice to me. Something I completely hate, people that I’m suppose to hate being nice to me. You were definitely killing me with your kindness. And over the months I had spent with you I fell for you. I didn’t want to tell you this but every time you are around it gets worse. Every time you call or say my name or just when you talk period my feelings intensify." She paused and took a deep breath. "Nick I love you." She said slowly looking directly in her eyes.
Nick stared at her and smiled as he leaned in and kissed her gently. "Want to know a secret?"
Jana nodded.
"When I told you I loved you before I wasn’t lying."
Jana smiled and kissed him again with a little more force.
They laid there just cuddling and kissing each other slowly and gently when the next song came on and Jana started to laugh.
"What?"
"There’s a song for everything and here’s the one for now." She said as the music began to play in the background.

"I love you." Nick said in a serious tone.
Jana’s breath caught in her throat. "So this is how it feels to be loved?" She said smiling at him.
Nick smiled back at her and nodded as he pulled her closer to him.
"I love you." She breathed against his lips before she kissed him.
