One Day Can Change It All
"Mike, dude I did some fucked up shit last night I know."
"How much did you drink?"
"Way too much."
"What did you do?"
"Dude, I don’t know how to explain it but I think it could be considered as something bad."
"Dude, you’re confusing the utter hell out of me."
"I came home shit faced."
"Yeah?"
"And well Madison was already asleep."
"Just come on with it already damn."
"I think I raped her."
"What? How can you think that?"
"I don’t know man. I don’t she was telling me no and shit but I just kept on going."
"You idiot."
"Fuck you man."
"Did she say anything?"
"No, and I said I forgot."
"You’re going to have to talk to her man."
"Yeah," Nick replied as he sighed.
"Bye man."
"Bye," Nick said as he hung up his phone and the stood up and walked out of the room to go look for Madison.
"Dude what is up with you? You sound a little weird."
"Twice in one day. Wow, what’s going on Madison?" Tony asked later that night on the phone.
"Nothing just felt like talking to you."
"Why?"
"Do I have to have a reason?"
"Uh, yeah."
"Well geez… thanks a lot Tony love you too."
"You know I love you baby. But it’s not everyday you call twice and ‘just to talk’."
"I know," Madison replied softly.
"So spill."
"Nah, nothing to spill."
"Liar."
"It’s not a big deal. It’ll be all over soon."
"What do you mean? When you come back here?"
Madison sat there a minute and then said, "Yeah."
"You’re starting to freak me out a little Madison. What’s going on?"
Madison laughed a little and said, "Nothing."
"Seriously, I will fly my ass down there to see you and see what’s going on with you and Nicky boy. Don’t think I won’t’."
"I don’t think you won’t, I believe you would."
"Good. Now you know I’ll be very pissed at you if you’re hiding something."
"I know."
"Just so you know because I can be very bitchy."
Madison started to laugh and said, "Don’t I know that."
"Hey now."
"I’m sure Todd hasn’t figured that out yet."
"Oh he has, yet he still stays."
"Wow, he must really love you," Madison replied sadly.
Tony sighed on the other end of the phone. "Yeah."
Madison rolled her eyes. She walked right into that one. Now he was going to start talking about Todd.
"Hey Madison?"
Madison looked behind her Nick was standing in the doorway. "Yeah?"
"Can I talk to you?"
Madison nodded. "Tony?"
"Uh huh?"
"I have to go."
"Why?"
"Nick wants me."
Tony started to laugh and said, "Really? What for?"
"God you have a dirty mind," Madison replied as she stood up and saw Nick laughing.
"Oh shut up. Alright well I guess I’ll talk to you later."
"Yeah," Madison replied as she hung up the phone. She looked at Nick as she followed him back into the living room. She sat down on the couch and looked up at him.
"Why don’t you want to go with me?"
Madison groaned inwardly she was tired of this conversation. Why couldn’t he just grasp the fact that she just didn’t want to go? "Nick."
"Just tell me."
"You tell me why you want me to go so damn bad," Madison replied growing angry as she stood up and moved closer to him.
"Because."
"Not a fucking answer Nick."
"Why can’t you just fucking accept it that I just want you to go?"
"Because I know there is a fucking reason," Madison yelled back at him.
"I don’t trust you," Nick snapped back at her.
Madison stared at him dumbfounded. "You don’t trust me?"
Nick nodded as he crossed his arms.
"I haven’t done anything for you to not trust me."
"Whatever I just want you to fucking go and you should because I said so."
Madison eyes grew wide she couldn’t believe he just said that. "You’re such an asshole sometimes."
"You’re a bitch sometimes."
"Fuck you. I’m going to New York and you can’t stop me."
"Wanna bet?"
Madison couldn’t believe the way this was turning out as she continued to stare at him. "You can’t make me."
"I can make you do whatever the fuck I want."
"Bullshit. You might be able to pull that one on the groupies but I’m not that dumb."
"Groupies what the fuck are you talking about?"
"Oh please Nick, it’s obvious you use your fame to get some. You’ll fuck anything that’ll open for you. Only god knows if you’ve done while you were with me," Madison yelled back.
Nick stared at her for a minute before he did the unthinkable. He slapped her. Madison took a step back from him and just stared at him. Nick stared back at her and then stormed out of the house.
