Madison’s cell phone started to ring from the other room interrupting Madison’s thought process. She got up slowly and walked into the other room. "Hello?"

"Hey there chick what’s up?"

"Hi Tony," Madison replied as he walked back into the living room.

"What’s wrong you sound a little sad?"

"I am along with a million other emotions."

"What happened?"

"Nick and I had an argument if you want to call it that."

"What? What happened?"

"It was over something ridiculously stupid. He wants me to go with him to the studio while he records and I told him I didn’t want to go because I’d be bored. You know? And he just blew it out of proportion."

"That asshole, Madison did he hit you or anything?"

"No, he grabbed my arm pretty rough it hurts a little but that’s it."

"Madison, if you’re smart you’ll take this as an example of what else may happen or maybe something worse."

"Tony you’re overreacting. It was just blown out of proportion I did say something that was a little uncalled for."

"That doesn’t matter Madison he has no right to lay a hand on you."

"Ton-," Madison started to say when Nick walked into the house quietly. "Tony I have to go he’s home," Madison said as she looked at Nick as he stood by the door looking at her.

"Madison, think about what I said. If you’re smart, and I know you are, you should break it off with him and come home-," Tony said quickly.

"Bye Tony," Madison replied hanging up on him.

Madison set her phone down and looked up at Nick. "Hey."

Nick stood there looking back at Madison. He looked down at the floor as he leaned against the door and then back up at her. "Hey."

Madison smiled slightly at him and asked cautiously, "Where did you go?"

Nick began to walk over to her and said, "Just drove around really."

Madison nodded.

"I’m so sorry. I seriously don’t know what came over me. It might have been Mike I had talked to him earlier and he really pissed me off so I took it out on you. I’m sorry. Did I hurt you?"

Madison smiled and said, "It’s alright. No I’m fine."

Nick sat down next to her and hugged her tight and said softly, "I’m so sorry."

"Nick it’s alright," Madison replied smiling reassuringly.

Nick smiled a little and then leaned into kiss her softly, "No it’s not alright I overreacted."

"It’s over with, ok? Just forget about it."

Nick shook his head and said, "Fine."

"Well I’m going to go to bed."

"Ok, I’ll be up in a little bit."

Madison smiled and gave Nick a kiss on the cheek and then got up and headed upstairs.

Nick watched Madison walk upstairs and then he turned back around leaning his head on the back of the couch crossing his arms across his chest as he looked up at the ceiling.

He felt guilty again. This time he could have controlled it. He had no reason or explanation as to why he acted the way he did. He never usually gets that angry about something. And he would never intentionally hurt Madison. He cared about her a lot. Oh, who was he trying to fool? He did love her. Or at least he was pretty sure he loved her. He was just afraid to tell her. He was more afraid of what would come out of the relationship if he confessed that he did love her. He had never really been in love before, he may have had strong feelings toward someone but he never really experienced love before. And well, plain and simple, he was afraid.

He wasn’t only afraid, but he had a little too much pride to actually break down and tell her what he feels. He was never all that good at expressing his feelings for someone.

Nick sat up on the couch putting his elbows on his knees and his head in his hands. He sat like that for a while and then sighing he got up off the couch and made his way upstairs.

He stood in the doorway of the bedroom and watched Madison sleep for a minute. She was so gorgeous. He smiled to himself as he walked over to his side of the bed. He stripped down to his boxers and slid underneath the covers next to Madison. He kissed her cheek and then wrapped his arm around her securely before he closed his eyes, eventually falling asleep.

Madison woke up to find the Nick’s side empty she reached out pouting. She rolled over onto her back yawning as he smelled something cooking or burning rather downstairs. She sat up and got off the bed tightening her drawstring a little and putting her hair in a ponytail on top of her head she made her way downstairs.

She reached the kitchen and had to laugh at the sight before her. Nick wearing a funky floral apron moving around the kitchen like a chicken with its head cut off. There was flour all over the counter, a few broken egg shells lying around, there were four different skillets on each burner of the stove, and whatever was in one of the skillets was burning.

Madison pushed back her laughter and asked, "Nick what are you doing?"

Nick stopped and looked at Madison, "Uh well this is my attempt to cook you breakfast."

Madison pressed her lips together and nodded.

"It’s not working out all that well."

"I can see that."

"I wanted to surprise you."

"It’s ok," Madison replied laughing as she walked over to him wrapping her arms around his waist.

"Now I have to clean all this up."

"What were you trying to make anyway?"

"I had some pancakes going on, bacon, eggs, and some biscuits and gravy."

"Were you trying to feed a family of ten?"

"No, I didn’t really know what you liked so I just tried a little bit of everything."

Madison looked up at Nick and smiled before she stood up on her tip toes and kissed him softly. "How long have you been at this?"

"About two hours," Nick replied laughing.

"Well now we know cooking just isn’t your thing."

"Never was never will be," Nick replied as Madison started to laugh.

"It’s ok you have better qualities that make up for your lack of skill for cooking," Madison said smiling.

"I have the whole day planned out for us."

"You do?"

"Yep, we’re going to go to the mall first and find you a dress."

"For what?"

"Tonight we’re going out to dinner to this really fancy Italian restaurant."

"Alright."

"Then we are going to go to this really awesome amusement park. I haven’t been there in so long and I think it’s time we just had fun and acted like kids all day."

"What brought all this on?"

"I don’t know I just wanted to do something for you."

Madison smiled and kissed Nick passionately.

"After that we are going to come back here get ready for dinner and then go to dinner and then there might be a surprise afterwards."

"Sounds like fun."

"It will be now go and get ready do that girl shit you have to do while I try and clean this up."

Madison laughed as he gave Nick a quick kiss and then she headed back upstairs to take a shower.

Twenty minutes later Madison got into the shower letting the hot water run down her back as she leaned her head back getting her hair wet. She closed her eyes as she ran her fingers through her hair as it was getting wet.

Nick walked into the bathroom and quickly got out of his clothes. He quietly walked over to the shower opening the shower door slightly and then jumping in. He stood there watching Madison at the other end of the shower. He couldn’t think of one specific way to get her attention he knew either way he would scare the shit out of her.

Nick walked up to her slowly putting his hands on her hips.

Madison jumped opening her eyes quickly looking at Nick smirking at her. She put her hand over her heart and said, "Fuck Nick you scared the shit out of me." She slapped him playfully and then smiled at him.

"I needed a shower too."

"Uh huh," Madison replied laughing.

Nick leaned in and kissed Madison intensely and then he started to suck on her bottom lip as he pulled back from her. "Just trying to conserve some water," He replied softly against her lips.
