Chapter 39
A Moment Like This
"Your hair is tickling me," Nick mumbled as he ran his hand through her hair.
Madison giggled as she moved a little to crawl up to him.
"Yes?" Nick asked with a smile.
Madison bit her bottom lip and smiled before she leaned down and kissed him gently.
"What was that for?"
Madison smiled and shrugged then said, "But that’s all you get until you brush your teeth."
Nick looked at her like he was truly angry.
"What? I’m just playing."
"Sure," He snapped.
Madison shook her head sighing and then moved over to the edge of her side of the bed and tried to go back to sleep.
Madison laid there for a minute and then rolled over and sat up looking at Nick, "Are you seriously upset?"
Nick looked at her and then back at the ceiling.
"Or are you just trying to make me feel bad?"
"Nothing just forget it," Nick replied as he smiled a little at her and then grabbed her wrist pulling her to lay down by him.
Madison sighed and then closed her eyes trying to go to sleep again.
The sun shone through the curtains in the bedroom onto to Madison’s face, she scrunched up her face and groaned as she rolled over scooting closer to Nick. She laid her head on his chest and wrapped her arm around his waist a little tighter. Nick moved a little pulling the arm that was under Madison tighter, pulling her closer to him. Madison smiled as she moved her head to get comfortable on Nick’s chest.
"I feel so lazy and just like I could be doing something."
Nick looked at Madison and said, "You are doing something."
"Watching soap operas doesn’t count."
"Well what do you want to do then?"
"Hell if I know," Madison replied laughing.
"Well stop complaining then."
"You don’t feel strange just sitting around doing nothing?"
Nick looked at Madison oddly and said, "No."
Madison sighed rolling her eyes as she stood up stretching.
Nick looked up at her and asked, "What are you doing?"
"I think I’m going to go swim or tan or something I’m about to go crazy just sitting around."
"Oh, those activities require a swimsuit am I correct?" Nick asked wiggling his eyebrows.
Madison shook her head and said, "You such a boy."
"Yep, but that’s what you love about me," Nick replied grinning widely.
Madison rolled her eyes and said, "Yeah yeah."
Madison walked into Nick’s room, she still wasn’t comfortable to call it their room, and she went straight to her suitcase which she still hadn’t even attempted to unpack. She started digging through her clothes in search of the one piece of clothing she hated the most… her bikini. She hated it for numerous reasons; she hated showing her stomach because she felt fat in anything, she hated the way her thighs jiggled when she walked, plain and simple she just hated it. But she ended up buying it because the one pieces were so ugly and out of fashion.
She picked up the pink bikini and held it up in the air to examine it. It had been a while since she wore it. It wasn’t a string bikini it was one with the shorts instead of the traditional bikini.
"So you’re wearing that?" Nick asked cocking an eyebrow.
Madison looked over at him and then put her bikini down behind her back.
"I might have to get my suit so we can swim together," Nick said as he walked over to her, wiggling his eyebrows with a cheesy smile on his face.
Madison shook her head at Nick as she headed into the bathroom to change.
Madison walked out of the bathroom about ten minutes later to find the clothes Nick had on strewn out across the room. Madison shook her head laughing at his tidiness or his lack of it. She was about to head downstairs when she heard her cell phone ringing from the bottom of her purse. She had forgotten where she put it.
She walked over to her purse dumping the contents out on the bed and grabbing the phone. "Hello?"
"Hey Madison what are you doing?"
"Tony. I’m not doing anything really."
"When are you coming home?"
"Home? Well, um… Nick asked me to move in with him. And I said yes."
Tony was silent for a minute. "Oh."
"I didn’t how to tell you."
"You know you do what you want."
"Are you mad?"
"No."
"You sound mad."
"I’m not I promise."
"Ok."
"Just…"
"What?"
"Never mind."
"What were you going to say?"
"Nothing I’ll talk to you later."
"Tony."
"Bye," He replied and hung up the phone before Madison could say anything.
Madison looked at the screen of the phone for a minute and then threw it along with everything else that was lying on the bed back in her purse and then she made her way downstairs and then outside.
Madison walked outside to see Nick swimming around the pool. She smiled as she walked over to the edge sitting down letting her legs dangle into the water.
Nick stopped swimming and looked over at her with water running down his face, "Hey pretty girl," he said in a seductive voice as he swam over to her.
Madison just laughed and splashed him a little when he got closer to her.
"Get in," Nick said splashing her.
"Not yet."
"Ok," Nick replied as he grabbed her legs pulling her in.
Madison surfaced and pushed her hair out of her face. She glared at Nick while he leaned against the edge of the pool smirking at her. "You ass."
Nick swam over to Madison still smirking, "Awe, I’m sorry."
Madison crossed her arms pouting as she looked to the side.
"Awe don’t be mad," Nick said softly as he wrapped his arms around her kissing her bare shoulder and then up to her neck.
Madison looked back at Nick and tried not to smile at him. He was so gorgeous and then you add water to him. That’s just not right. Before Madison knew it Nick backed her against the wall of the pool and it didn’t bother her. The way his lips felt on her neck was enough to push her over the edge.
Madison moved her arms around Nick’s neck and then raked her fingers through his hair moving his head up so she could kiss him. The kiss started innocent like most of their kisses but it soon turned into a more intense kiss and Madison had no intention of stopping.
Nick pulled back to look at her.
"What?" She asked looking him in the eyes.
"We should stop," Nick said looking down and then back up at her.
"Why?" Madison asked confused.
"Because this is the point where you always want to stop and well I’m not as worked up now so it’s good to just stop."
Madison smiled slightly and asked, "Who said I wanted to stop this time?"
Nick looked at Madison slightly shocked and before he could say anything Madison was kissing him intensely again.
Nick started to move his hand up and down her back as the other hand rested lightly on her hip.
Madison pulled away breathless looking deep into Nick’s eyes.
"What?" Nick asked as he pushed a piece of her hair out of her face.
"I want to be with you," She said softly.
Nick stared at her for a second. "What are you saying?" He asked just to clarify things.
"I want to make love to you."
