Complicated

"What a fucking jerk you need to just let him be and drop his ass."

"I can’t." Madison whispered throwing the paper on the floor.

"Why can’t you?"

"Because I just can’t."

"Why?"

"Because I really like him and I just can’t."

"You really like him? What the fuck? He’s an ass."

"Shane, can we not talk about this right now?"

"I want to though. I mean how long have you two been together or whatever for what a week and a half or something? Not even that. And look how much drama is going on and has gone on, it’s not worth it."

"Ok, whatever."

"What you don’t believe me?"

Madison shook her head no.

"Why not?"

"I don’t know. I really like him. I’ve never had a guy like him give me the attention he has. I’ve never gotten that kind of attention period. And I like it; it’s not that big of a deal."

"You can do so much better than Nick fucking Carter." Shane replied getting angry.

"I’m done talking about this." Madison said standing up and walking into her room.

Shane threw his hands up in the air in frustration and then laid his head on the back of the couch sighing.

Madison lay on the hotel bed writing in her journal when her cell phone began to ring. "Hello?"

"Madison?"

"Nick, what’s up?"

"Not much. I’m just chilling before the show the last one of the tour."

"Are you sad?"

"Kind of but I’m going to go visit Aaron and chill with him for a while."

"That’s nice."

"Yeah, and hopefully we’ll be able to spend some time together too."

"Alright, that sounds fantastic." Madison replied smiling.

"Alright I have to go and do some last minute things before the show. I’ll talk to you later sweetie."

"Ok bye Nick."

"Bye."

"Yo, Nick what the hell are you doing here?"

"Aaron watch your damn mouth man." Nick said as he hit Aaron upside the head.

"Hey now you’re messing up my hair."

Nick rolled his eyes as he walked inside the house. "Where is everybody?" He asked looking around.

"I don’t know." Aaron replied shrugging.

"So what’s going on little man?"

"Not much. You seem different what’s up? And what’s going on with you and the hot lead singer chick of that tight band Y5?"

"How do you know about that?"

"Nick I don’t live under a rock and it’s all over the place who doesn’t know about it."

"We’re together." Nick replied grinning.

"Oh really?"

"Uh yeah."

"Of course you always get the girl. So what’s her name again?"

"Madison."

"She’s pretty hot."

"Hey now."

"What?" Aaron asked innocently.

Nick shook his head at Aaron as he started laughing.

"She is there ain’t no denying it, she just might be your prettiest girlfriend. You should keep her around."

"Aaron you don’t even know anything about her except that she’s pretty and you’re telling me to keep her around."

"Yep, that’s pretty much what I’m saying bro."

"You have a lot to learn about girls little man. They are complicated as hell."

"I know."

Nick eyed Aaron curiously and said, "I’m not sure if I want to know what you’re talking about."

"Man, you’re dirty I’m not talking about sex or anything like that."

"Ok, we are not talking about sex." Nick replied putting his hand up in the air as he shook his head.

"Hey I wasn’t going to talk about sex you’re the one who brought it up."

"Ok no more mentioning of sex. None. Its way too weird; you have no idea damn."

Aaron started laughing and said, "That’s hilarious you being all uncomfortable and stuff."

"Shut up I just don’t want to think about my little brother doing the things I’m doing or no I’m not doing that or anything close to that. Don’t tell mom or anything, ok? God, just stop talking period."

"I’m not talking yo, you’re the one that keeps blabbing and you’re doing a pretty good job at it too. Open mouth and insert your big ol’ nasty foot." Aaron replied laughing as Nick threw a pillow that was on the couch at him, hitting him upside the head.

"The week before we go to Europe you’ll be shooting the video for the new single which is going to be ‘Grow Up’." John said looking at the band sitting in Madison’s hotel room.

"And when are we going to Europe?" Shane asked.

"It’s at the end of June."

"That’s like three months away." Jake said.

"You’re very observant." Tony said looking at Jake while Jake glared back at him.

"I know that." John said nodding.

"Well why are you telling us this now? We’re going to end up forgetting." Jake replied.

"Just informing you, you know doing my job."

"Whatever dude. So are we done?" Jake asked standing up.

"Uh, I guess that’s it. Nothing too exciting going on until then because it’s nothing but touring."

"Exciting." Jake mumbled as he walked out of the door.

"I guess we’re done then." John said as he looked back at the others.

"I think something is up Jake’s ass or something." Shane said looking at Tony and Madison and then back at John.

"He hasn’t been getting any booty so that may be what is making him all bitter and shit." Tony suggested.

John shook his head laughing as he gathered his papers and cell phone and walked out of the room.

"Do you love her?" Aaron asked Nick later that night while they were playing video games.

"What?" Nick asked glancing over at Aaron and then back at the TV.

"Do you love her?" Aaron asked again slowly.

"No. We’ve only been together for a week or so."

"You like her though right?"

"What is this twenty questions or something? Damn, I thought we were done talking about her."

"No, I want to know how you really feel. Can’t we bond? Can’t I give you some brotherly advice?"

"Brotherly advice from you? No thanks little man."

"Fine then humor me and answer my damn questions."

"Watch your mouth."

Aaron rolled his eyes and asked, "Do you like her?"

"Yeah I like her."

"Then why do you go kissing other girls when you’re with her?" Aaron asked quickly. "Ha, I beat you!"

Nick threw the controller down and looked over at Aaron. "Where did you get that from?"

"Uh, I did tell you yo that I don’t live under a rock and I do know how to read. You’re all over the tabloids dude."

"I’m done talking about this." Nick replied standing up.

"I just wanted to know."

"Whatever it’s none of your business."

"I just didn’t understand if you could like someone and then do that to them. It doesn’t make sense."

"Aaron! Stop, we’re done talking about her." Nick snapped.

"Fine." Aaron replied stepping back as he put his hands up defensively.

"Good." Nick replied as he turned around and walked out of the room.

"He’s whack and I think he more than likes this chick." Aaron said to himself as he rubbed his hands together and then followed him downstairs.
