Chapter 2
Fancy Meeting You Here
“Seriously dude the party sucked ass.” Madison said to Tony as they laid on her bed in her hotel room the next morning.
“Now maddy-.”
“Don’t call me that.” Madison said pointing her finger at him.
“Madison.”
“Thank you.” Madison replied grinning.
“Did the party suck because you are anti-social and didn’t mingle?” Tony asked raising an eyebrow.
“No.”
“Yeah right.” Tony said sarcastically.
“You suck.”
“I know, and you should have seen the man that I met last night. Damn he was everything and a bag of peanuts baby. Nice rock hard abs, the tightest ass in the world-.”
“Tony stop.” Madison said putting her hand up to stop him.
Tony laughed and said, “What you don’t want to hear about the great sex I had last night?”
Madison made a weird face and replied, “Not really Tony. You know I don’t care about your little whatever you want to call them. You my friend along with Jake and Shane are man whores. You’ll do anything that walks.”
Tony rolled his eyes. “Madison I love you, but you’re uptight girl. Maybe you should get laid.”
Madison started laughing.
“What?”
“No one wants me.” She said looking at him with a serious face.
“You seriously think that?” He asked confused.
She nodded as she stared at her hands.
“Damn girl you’re blind. You’re beautiful, Shane and Jake both still want to do you. But they decided they’d leave you alone now since we’re in a band and shit but when I first met them they were like all into you and shit. I told them to back off because I knew they would probably talk you into something you weren’t ready for and well I have to look out for you know.” He said smiling sincerely.
“Thanks.” She said rolling her eyes.
“What’s that for?”
“I don’t know I just hate being the inexperienced one. The one who throws up after one beer. The one who has kissed a total of two boys. It sucks, like last night at the party Nick Carter showed up and he was staring at him for the longest time and then I decided to leave and then he gets in my way literally when I’m on my way out and starts talking to me. He knew who I was, he said he liked our single and then he asked me to dance. I mean, can you imagine how much of a disappointment I would have been if I did dance with him?”
Tony looked at her strangely and asked, “Nick Carter was there? Damn I should have gone, he’s yummy. Why would you be a disappointment?”
“I can’t you believe you just said that, he’s straight. And I know about him and his reputation, he’d want more.”
“From a dance?” Tony asked still confused.
“Yes and I suck at that stuff because I have no idea what I’m doing.”
“You can practice on me.” Tony said with a big grin.
“God, Tony that’s gross you’re like my brother.”
“Yeah, that would be gross. I’m sure Jake or Shane would let you practice on them. They’d let you do anything you wanted to them.”
Madison rolled her eyes and then got up and went into the bathroom while Tony just watched her grinning.
“So she met Nick Carter last night?” Shane asked Tony while they sat in the main room of Madison’s hotel room.
“Yeah, he asked her to dance and she turned him down.” Tony said grinning as he picked at his finger nails.
“Probably bruised his ego I can’t stand that fuck.” Jake said snickering.
“Why because he gets more chicks than you?” Shane asked laughing while Tony began to laugh and then high fived Shane.
“Ha, ha… you two are so funny. Two funny gay guys.” Jake replied sarcastically.
“Are you making fun of us?” Tony asked.
“And I’m not gay; bisexual is the proper term thank you very much.” Shane replied matter-of-factly.
“Oh sorry excuse the fuck out of me.” Jake said putting his hands up in the air.
“God, will you guys stop?” Madison asked as she walked into the room.
They all three looked at her; she had straightened her long brown hair and had a tight tank top on the showed her stomach slightly and was low cut with a pair of hip hugger jeans. They all stared at her eyeing her up and down with their mouths opened slightly.
Growing uncomfortable Madison asked, “What’s up with you guys? God.”
“Did you check yourself out in the mirror before you walked out?” Jake asked still eyeing her up and down.
“Uh… yeah why?” She replied still very uncomfortable.
“You’ve never done that to your hair before or shown that much skin it’s just a little shocking.” Jake said as he grinned at her.
Madison rolled her eyes and stomped back into the bedroom.
“Well that was interesting.” Jake said as he looked at the other guys.
They just shrugged and went back to what they were doing.
Madison sighed as she stared at herself in the mirror. She tugged down on the tank top to cover up her stomach. “God, what am I thinking? I can’t pull this off.” She asked herself out loud as she continued to stare at herself in the mirror.
She walked out of the bathroom and began digging through her suitcase for a different shirt. Finally, deciding on light blue baby t-shirt and then she went back into the bathroom to change.
Madison stared at herself in the other shirt and was still not satisfied. Madison leaned back against the wall behind her putting her hands on her head and just screamed in frustration. She looked back in the mirror, aggravated. “I’m so tired of you.” She said as she stared at her reflection, then slowly walked out of the room.
“Hey, everything ok?” Tony asked concerned when Madison walked back into the main room of the hotel.
“Yeah whatever.” She replied as she grabbed her purse and walked out of the hotel room.
“PMS?” Shane asked as he looked between Jake and Tony.
Tony rolled his eyes and shook his head and then stared at the door for a second and then went back to clipping his fingernails.
“What do you think is wrong with her?” Jake asked a few minutes later looking at Tony.
“Hell if I know.” Tony replied shrugging.
“Well you are her best friend I just thought you would know.” Jake replied.
Madison walked off the elevator into the hotel lobby and quickly made her way outside, into the fresh L.A. air. She stood there a second closing her eyes taking a few deep breaths and then she began to walk down the sidewalk. She had no idea where she was going and frankly she could care less.
Thirty minutes later she was still walking, she popped into a few stores here and there not really looking for anything just trying to get away. From what? She didn’t even know she just felt like she needed to get away.
She walked into a small café on the corner to get her something to eat. She sat down in a back booth; she sat there looking at her surroundings as random thoughts were running through her head. Her thoughts were interrupted when a perky red head came up to the table smacking her gum loudly.
“Can I get you something?” She asked cheerfully.
Madison stared at her for a second. “Right now water is fine.” Madison replied apathetically.
The girl gave her a weird look and then nodded and walked off.
Madison put her arms on the table and then laid her head down sighing. She closed her eyes and sighed again heavily.
“Hang over?”
Madison quickly looked up startled, confusion clearly written all over her face as she stared at him standing there smirking at her. She watched him sit down and continued to stare. Wondering why he was there and why he was talking to her.
Nick laughed as he leaned back putting his arms on the back of the booth seat. “What’s going on?” He asked.
Madison looked at him and then around the room and back at him. “Uh… nothing?” She replied still confused.
Nick started to laugh again.
“What?” Madison asked as she crossed her arms and leaned back.
“Nothing.” Nick replied simply.
“What do you want?”
Nick sat there a minute, thinking. “I want to take you out on a date.” He said smiling at her.
Madison’s eyes widened as she looked at him like he was crazy.
“So?”
“No… I… I can’t.”
“Why not?” Nick asked confused.
“I just can’t.” Madison replied as she grabbed her purse and quickly walked out of the café.
Nick leaned on the table as he started to rub his hands together. “You’re going to be harder than I thought.” He quietly said to himself as he watched the perky waitress walk to the back of the café and then got up and walked out of the café.
