Hello Me
I look back at my life. I have not always been proud.
Some things just shouldn’t be relived.
I look back at my past. I have not always been good.
Some things just shouldn’t be done.
But I can look at me now. And no longer cringe at the reflection.
My eyes are clear. My face unbruised.
I have traveled paths not meant for me.
I have walked the high road. And the low one.
I have journeyed far to get where I am today.
I can finally embrace myself again.
And know that I am one within myself.
A little dysfunctional perhaps, a little unfinished.
But mending still the same.
It’s fun to be proud of me again.
And finding myself is an ongoing adventure.
I can look myself in the eye and smile.
