Hockey Info...At the young age of 12, Sam Meyer enters his sixth full season in the PLHL starting in goal for Luke?s team. Since he entered the league at the age of 7, he has been among the top goalies in the league. He has backstopped Luke?s team to 4 winning seasons in 5 years and will continue to be a dominant force in the net this year. Sam plays with an intensity rivaled by few and it has made him a 5-time Vezina trophy winner. He gets better each year as he grows both physically and mentally. He has stepped up his game to play with the best of the best. The only chance to beat this young netminder is to go high because anything below the equator will be denied entrance. He has frustrated more than a few snipers who thought they could beat him glove-low or five-hole. Sam rarely comes out of the net, but when he does, he is an excellent addition to Luke?s Team?s offense, a skill player in the mold of his older brothers. He is still lacking in speed, but seems to gain a step or two each year. Sam is expected to win his fifth consecutive Vezina trophy this year. Over the years, Sam has been a fundamental part of this dynasty that had won every PLHL championship until last season. Their defeat last year left a bad taste in everyone?s mouth and this season, Sam will be looked upon to help rinse it out.
