Ben Meyer: Brad's Team--Assitant Captain

Awards And Accolades

Hockey Info...Ben Meyer busted into the PLHL in 1998-1999, scoring 19 points in 8 games and taking Rookie of the Year honors. Since then, he has been an offensive force for Brad?s Team. He has ranked among the top scorers each of the past three seasons and looks to remain a factor in the scoring race again this season. Ben was an instrumental figure for Brad?s Team last season for their championship run. He scored 16 goals in only 16 games played and kept the offensive pressure on the opposition. The knock on Ben has always been that he does not play enough defense. This season, he is determined to shake that moniker and perform well at both ends of the ice. With the departure of Cory Phillips, Tim Kay, and Grant Hulett, Ben will be forced to take on a greater leadership role as the assistant captain and it will be crucial for him to help make up for the 15 goals that the three of them combined for last season. Ben is looking forward to his fourth season in the PLHL and after tasting the championship last season, he no doubt has an itch to win it again. This season, The ?one-dimensional player? tag that he has carried with him the past few years must be erased if he wishes to help lead his team to another championship. Clearly, he is up to the challenge.
