TERRI'S WORLD

This Page is Dedicated to our Beloved Daughter who was Born December 5, 1957 and left this earth December 31, 1998.

Terri was always our "Water Baby". She spent more time under the water than she did on top.

Sometimes,Terri was ~

And then, there were days when she was more like ~

Terri had some serious health problems when she was little but, we didn't find out until she was almost 17 that she had Turner's Syndrome. TS is a chromosomal disorder which usually is accompanied by some very unpleasant other conditions. After further testing, we found that she was very fortunate since her only other problems at that time were a slight heart murmur caused by a bicuspid aortic valve and a total lack of female hormones. She began hormone therapy and did finally complete puberty and grew to the "Grand" height of 4'10". Because we didn't know about some of the other possible future complications for a TS girl, we treated Terri only with the "specialness" that we felt was necessary for each of our children. Here is her high school graduation picture.

Terri was always interested in the medical field and went to school for and held several different jobs in that field including LPN, medical records clerk, ward clerk, radiology clerk and intake&computer-input clerk. In 1985 she married John and, shortly thereafter, they moved to Phoenix, AZ where they ultimately bought a lovely home and settled down. Here is my favorite picture of Terri and John which was taken a few years ago.
