Chapter 12

Guys , backstage visitors are coming back!" Dan yelled.

"Okay!" The guys yelled back. It was before the show started. Laurie was watching from a back room with her family and the other Hanson's. The girls came back and were excited. They made the same sounds that the girls last night did. There was one girl, however, that wasn't screaming. She came back and smiled as she shook Isaac, Taylor, and Zac's hands. It took Laurie just a second to realize who she was.

"Hey, that's Danielle Fishel, from Boy Meets World!" Laurie said loudly. She blushed and brought her voice down. "I mean, wow, who'd have thought?"

"Really, the boys seemed surprised!" Diana said. "I thought they knew she'd be here."

"I guess not," Walker said. The fans started talking to Taylor and Zac. Isaac, however, was in a deep conversation with Danielle. Danielle kept touching Isaac's hands, and they looked like they were off in their own world.

"Hey Laurie, you better watch out, Danielle's gonna steal your man," Mike said with a laugh.

"Shut up Mike, she won't. They're just....talking," Laurie said.

"Soon they'll be doing more than that," he said. Laurie smacked him.

"Laurie! Mike! Stop it, or else you'll be back in the tour buses for the night," Mrs. Woodman threatened.

"Sorry, mom," Laurie said.

"Yeah, sorry," Mike said. Laurie went back to watching the meet and greet thing going on. They took a big group picture, then several individual ones. Danielle had them get a picture of her and Isaac together, with their arms around each other.

"Send me a copy when you get the pics back," Isaac said.

"Oh, I will," Danielle promised. "I'll be back after the show. I got a special pass."

"Hey, great! I'm looking forward to talking to you!" Isaac said.

"Great, well, I'll see you then!" she said, grinning.

"Bye," Ike said grinning. The guests left and the guys went back to talk to their families.

"Wow, we got to meet Danielle Fishel! I've been watching Boy Meets World forever!" Zac exclaimed.

"Yeah, that was cool!" Taylor replied.

"Yeah, she is really nice and funny and cute!" Isaac said.

"Cute?" Laurie said. "You called her cute?"

"Well, yeah, Laurie she is pretty good looking."

"You know this isn't the best conversation to be carrying on with your own girlfriend," Laurie said.

"What? Laurie, Danielle and I are just friends."

"It sure didn't look that way a few minutes ago, with her touching your hands, and that picture."

"You're jealous of me and Danielle!"

"Oh, so now you put you two together in a sentence! Wonderful!" Laurie exclaimed.

"Hey guys, come on, calm down," Andy said.

"Shut up, Andy," Laurie and Isaac said simoultameously.

"Laurie, I promise there's nothing going on with Danielle," Isaac said.

"Okay," Laurie said uncertainly.

"Why can't you trust me?" Isaac exploded.

"I do trust you," Laurie answered back.

"Then show it to me. We gotta go on," he said. He gave her a hug. Laurie hugged back.

"Good luck," she said.

"Thanks," Isaac replied. The guys ran off on stage. Laurie sat on the couch in the backstage area.

"Sweetie, is everything okay?" Laurie's mom asked her.

Laurie shook her head.

"You guys go ahead and go, I'm going to stay with Laurie," Mrs. Woodman said. She sat on the couch next to her only daughter and rubbed her back.

"Is there something going on with you and Isaac?" Mrs. Woodman asked gently.

"I don't know, Mom. Lately, he's just been really short with me, and he's not being himself, and how I just saw him with Danielle Fishel, it's hard," Laurie broke loose crying. "I don't know if I can take all of that being put on me. It's just so much stress and worrying."

"Sweetie, Isaac's having a tough time now, it's their first major U.S. tour, and he surely must want everything to go well so they can do another. It's him and Walker who are carrying a lot of weight on their shoulders about the planning of everything."

"What about Taylor and Zac? And Chris, their manager? Why aren't they doing anything?" Laurie asked bitterly.

"Chris lets them pick out what they want to do, he just gives it the go. Taylor and Zac do have their input, but they're just too young to be doing the work that Isaac and Walker are."

"Oh come on, Mom, Taylor's not that much younger than Isaac."

"True, but there's a lot of stuff he really can't do. You would be surprised, sweetie. I was talking it over with Diana and Walker the other night."

"Okay, so Isaac is excused about that. The Danielle Fishel thing is another detail."

"Sweetie, do you remember how it was when you got to spend a day on the Dawson's Creek set? Remember how excited you were to meet James Van Der Beek and Joshua Jackson?"

"Yeah," Laurie replied.

"And remember how much you talked about it after it happened?"

"Yeah."

"I think this is kind of the same thing. You still write to James and Joshua, right?"

"Yeah, usually about once a month."

"I think that this is the same thing. Isaac was just happy about meeting a favorite celebrity of his. It doesn't mean he doesn't like you any less. You have to put a lot of trust in him, sweetheart, but I really don't think Isaac would hurt you. You have to let him enjoy being a celebrity, too. He's worked for this."

"Does this mean I have to watch him flirt with girls in front of my face?" Laurie asked bitterly.

"Sweetie, he's not flirting, he's being nice to them. He has an image to keep up to them. Remember, to the world, he's still single and you're a childhood friend of his and the rest of the family."

"I don't like this," Laurie admitted.

"I know you don't, sweetie, but you can't like everything. You just have to grin and bear it. Did our talk help?"

"Yeah, it did a lot. Thanks Mom," Laurie said. She hugged her mom and her mom hugged her back.

"You're welcome, sweetie. Anytime." she said. She patted her daughter's back. "I think it's almost time for intermission. Why don't you clean your face up a little bit?"

"Okay," Laurie said. She headed to the back bathroom and washed her face with cold water. She dried it off with a paper towel and went back to where the rest of their families were waiting. They were starting a new song.

"Guys, we're going to play 'I Will Come To You', and the song is dedicated to a very special person out there," Isaac said. Laurie felt her heart jump, and she began to smile.

"You all know this person. Danielle Fishel, this one's for you," Isaac said, giving the crowd an award-winning smile. She saw Danielle in the front row, and he pulled her on stage.

Laurie's smile faded off of her face. The angry flame inside of her went to full blast. She ran away from the stage. She couldn't bear to see what stunt Isaac would pull next.

She finally found the group's room for the family and friends to chill out. She went in there, flung herself on the couch and began to cry and scream into the soft cushions.

"ISAAC HANSON, I HATE YOU!!!"
