After worrying for a good part of the week about the weather forcast, we got pretty lucky. The wind was a bit strong at times early in the launch but died down a bit later in the day. Despite the wind everything pretty much stayed within the launch field. There wasn’t much mid-powered activity until the winds died down, at which point Nick Stich and Jerome Tonneson cut a deal: Jerome would fly his Mirage on a ‘G’ if Nick would fly his Initiator on an ‘F.’ Wanting to see the Mirage go, Nick agreed. The Initiator had a beautiful, flawless flight. After some launch rod re-work for the slighly bulky Mirage it lifted off the pad with an impressive roar and flame.

Total impulse of 778.625 Ns, like a partial J motor.
There was one clustered flight (#34) and one multi-stage flight (#30).
There were 13 families for a total of 15 rocketeers.

Thanks again to our hosts, James and Tricia, for letting us use their field.
