This Month's GUEST SHOT is from Mark Vickers of Surrey, England. "My 64 SS was imported from Florida 3 years ago where it had been pretty thoroughly restored. It still has a 283 and 2 barrel, but dual exhaust and a three speed auto. Power steering, but no power assist on the drum brakes. Fuel here is so incredibly expensive I'm happy enough with the performance/economy balance! I have had the car completely stripped and re-painted, but unfortunately I am really disappointed with the job and want to have it done again when funds allow! The interior is pretty much standard, complete with aircon and bucket seats, but I have fitted a Grant woodrim wheel. Last Autumn I had a Pioneer stereo system built in to the glovebox which is a really neat job. Latest project has been the fitting of more sound deadening material inside the car and trunk area, which I am still in the process of finishing. My aim is to have a good looking car, that is reasonably good with the fuel consumption, and is comfortable and relaible enough to drive anywhere, whilst not losing the original looks, at least at first glance."
