Thank You for taking the time to appreciate these photos of the Smoky Mountains. When I was about 100 miles outside of Ashville, NC I topped this rise and saw mountains for the first time in my whole life. I felt the tingle of my blood flow through my veins, my eyes teared up, and my nipples harden. It was all I could do to pull safely to the side of the road. As I looked upon the mountains it seemed an eternity passed, but really only a few minutes while I took some pics. I can not express to you how insignificant I felt in relation to such magnifience.
