My Poems

"Ocean"

by

Zorra Rose Blithe

The rolling of the ocean

Splashing and swaying of water

Calm water

The roll, roll, roll of the ocean

The blue of the ocean

White foaming of water

Beautiful, sparkly water

The roll, roll, roll of the ocean

The sound of the water meeting the sand

Hear the sea birds calling?

Calling, calling, calling?

Inviting to bathe in the unknown depths

The unsearched secrets of the blue lair

The black depths of the ocean

The icy, chill of the black trap

The pull of the harsh currents

Pulling, pulling, pulling of the ocean

The tugging, tugging, tugging

Of the rolling, rolling, rolling ocean

The pulling, tugging of the rolling ocean

Dragging of the ocean

To a watery grave.

"Lost In The Deep"

by

Zorra Rose Blithe

The water sparkled like a million diamonds as the sun sinked behind the horizon

The water was warm from the afternoon sun

So calm, so serine

The ocean hold secrets no mortal can imagine

Below the blue exteroir lays a vast world of darkness

Darkness untraveled, unseen, unknown

Worlds of terror holding lost souls captive in their watery cluches

The sea sings an inviting song

Luring to bathe in the unknown depths

Slipping below the surface the currents are strong

Pulling, through the velvety blackness

Frantically gasping for breath

Thrashing through thick darkness

It pulls further and further from the sand

It enraps tighter and tighter until the last breath is released

The lifeless body sinks toward the ocean floor

Stillness sets in and all tranquillity is restored until the sea thirsts for fresh blood

"Fire"

by

Zorra Rose Blithe

The ashes drop slowly to the floor

One, two, three, four, five

A spark idly dwindled

Slowly burns

The ember sparks

Oxygen nourishes the ravenous blaze

The sooty fog gradually rises

The atmosphere is concentrated

Her lungs pervade with smoke

Suffication!

Her blood runs icy in her viens

The flames engulf her body and consume her flesh

She is no more.

"Good Bye"

It's over

He's gone

I say good bye

The tears come

He's gone

I never got to tell him

The tears come

I cry

I never got to tell him

How much I care

I cry

My heart aches

How much I care

It's over

My heart aches

I say good bye

"The Gift"

by

Zorra Rose Blithe

Her voice is soft and sweet

Her smile is a ray of sunshine

Her flaxen hair is straight and neat

Her legs are long and fine.

He is tall, dark, and handsome

He acts all big and bad

He pretends to be dumb

When inside he is actually sad.

This girl, that he loved with all his heart

Left him for another man

He tried again, for love from the start

He learned that he can.

But his heart was bruised and broken

For his heart was with this girl

So, he gave her a small token

It was a gold chain with a pearl.

She realised that she loved him, too

A ring he placed on her fingar

Then, something old and something new

And their vows will always linger.

But alas, disturbed is their happy life

When the return of a jealous lover of yore

Takes the life of the girl with a daggar knife

And the boy's heart out he tore.

The boy gave his child bride a good bye kiss

His heart bruised and broken once more

He morned and morned and all day he list

He ached to his hearts core.

No longer able to live

His own life he took

No longer able to give

Before he drank the deadly drink, at her picture he would look.

A morbid and sad tale

These two buried in the dale

I close this stories door

Together, resting in peace for ever more.
