Oh someone stole the sunshine from
many lives that day
when the life we take for granted
so quickly slipped away
i close my eyes and turn back time
and think back about 2 years
it feels like it was yesterday
as I remember through my tears
you let me share a room with you,
and welcomed me right in
and when I felt I couldn't go on,
you became my very best friend
i never told you "thank you"
for what you did for me
and I'm hoping that you're listening
wherever you may be
i will miss the time we spent together,
when we laughed so hard we cried
and i wish that when i saw you last,
I had been able to tell you "goodbye"
your Son will shine in all our hearts
so you'll never really be gone
if we stick together and love one another
through our family your memory will live on.
