This game involves a group of characters called "Gardenia Customs." These characters, of course, represent the game master. The "forms" are your character sheets. The GM must inspect a character's inventory to make sure they're not "god-modding" or "power playing." There is no penalty for trying to "god-mod" or "power play," but expect the GM to "stack the deck" to balance out the game!
Each player must declare every item, ability, and special power they possess
before gameplay begins. This is done by sending a message to the group.
Abilities
A character can have many abilities, such as acrobatics or super math skills.
They should be reviewed by Customs first, but they generally don't disrupt the
plot too much.
Special Powers
Special powers are supernatural abilities like X-ray vision and super
strength. A character is only allowed one super power, and only after Customs
has a careful review of the power.
Items
How many suitcases does your character carry? How much can actually fit in
one? That is an important question in this game. You will find many good items
in the game proper, so carrying additional junk is not always advisable. Every
item you pack will be carefully weighed and measured by Customs to make sure it
can actually be carried into the country without a forklift.
The country of
Gardenia thoroughly inspects your luggage and vehicles for contraband and
weaponry. Anything that is not allowed by the U.S. government will be
confiscated from your possessions. Except for lawn darts. Those are cool.
