Chapter Ten.

Gohan bowed his head and slowly turned the knob of the door leading to Orion's

room. As he slowly steeped into the room he brought his head up. The lights were off.

All around he could hear the clicks, and beeps of hospital equipment. He looked over

towards the bed.

Gohan had expected to see Orion. Hunched up in casts and bandages. Maybe even

a breathing machine too. He had expected to start crying as soon as he'd seen the

dreadful sight to come. What he hadn't expected was Orion's absence. Gohan ran to the

bed. This was weird. He looked again on the chart he'd grabbed outside. Yes this was

the right room. He placed the chart on top of the bed and looked underneath. Nothing.

"The city looks so peaceful from here." Came a familiar voice from the window.

The voice startled Gohan as he hit head on the bed frame. He rubbed his head as he stood

up, and looked in the voice's direction. Gohan took a step back. There sitting on the

window sill, was Orion. Not a burs shown, not a scratch to see. There was something

else about him Gohan couldn't place. His power still felt as radical as before, more so

even. Before Orion had stood out among the common aura's. Now he seemed to

completely shun them away.

Gohan took a few steps closer. Orion continued to stare out the window. "O..

Orion?" Orion turned his gaze to meet Gohan's.

"Yeah?...Hey!" Orion's face brightened, as he jumped from the window to just in front of

Gohan. "Your that fighter from the carnival. Your great! I've never fought against a real

opponent before. Huh.... What's wrong?" Orion asked. Gohan's expression had changed

from inquisitive to absolute shock. At the carnival when he'd face Orion, he had been

maybe a few inches taller. Now Orion had a good half foot over him. "What's the matter?

Did I say something wrong?" Orion asked. His childlike innocence beaming through every

word. Finally Gohan regained his composure. "Huh.. Oh.. Uh yeah. I'm

fine.....Uh...How are you doin." Orion put his hand behind his head and smiled.

"Just fine! Better than I've ever felt in my life. Why?" Orion Finally took his gaze

off Gohan and looked around the room. "Hey is this...Is this a hospital room?" Orion

steeped past Gohan and got a better look around. "What are you doing in the hospital. I

didn't hurt you that bad did I?" Gohan looked at him quizzically.

"Uh...Yeah. But I wasn't the one in here. You were...remember?" Gohan said weakly.

Orion turned again. "Really. But I feel fine." Orion replied.

Orion's gaze swiftly went back to the window. "AHHHH!" Orion screamed as he

jumped underneath the bed. "Arrraakkkk!" Gohan jumped towards the window.

"Icarus!" The little dragon squealed again as he nudged the window with his snout. "It's

OK Orion. It's just my pet dragon." Gohan exclaimed as he slid the window open. Gohan

put his hand out and scratched the dragons neck. Orion slowly moved his head out from

under the bed. "P..p...pet?" Orion stuttered. Gohan smiled at Orion and nodded his head.

Icarus screeched again and flew a few meters away from the window. Gohan flew

out to him and hugged him across the back of his neck. Looking into the hospital window

he gave a shout. "Common Orion he's real friendly once he gets to know you."

Orion crawled from under the bed and stepped over to the window. As he looked

out into the night it became his turn to wear a face of shock. This kid was flying...Really

flying! Just like in the comic books! Orion continued to stare at Gohan, his face turning

from one of shock to one of complete fascination. Gohan looked into the window and

was puzzled by Orion's expression. "What's wrong Orion. I told you he's a nice dragon."

Orion continued to stare blankly at him for a second. Finally he whispered. "Your flying."

Gohan looked down.

The hospital was built upon a high cliff and this side just happened to be the one

that faced the watery gorge below. He wouldn't even of noticed if Orion hadn't of said

something. He turned his face to Orion again. "Yeah. Don't you know how to fly?" Orion

shook his head. "Ahhh you don't know what your missing. Here I'll teach you."

"I think that can wait till later." Came a powerful voice from behind him. Orion

took a step back and prepared to fight, as Gohan swung around. Gohan's face brightened.

"Mr. Tienshinan!" He exclaimed. Orion stopped, and climbed out onto the window ledge.

"Hey. Do you know him." Gohan turned his head to him and nodded.

"Yeah, He's one of my dad's closest friends." He turned his head back to Tien. "So

what's up Mr. Tien?"

"Just came by to see how the little guy's doing." Tien looked at Orion and stroked his chin.

"Maybe it's the light but does he seem taller than before?" Gohan nodded.

"I don't get it either." Orion returned they're stare until finally Tien broke the silence.

"Anyway. Do you know where your father is. They seemed to be in quite a rush to get

here." Gohan cocked an eyebrow.

"What do you mean? I havn't seen my dad since this morning"

"They flew over our campsite. It was so fast I didn't even feel them till the last second.

Then I noticed they were headed in the same direction as you and Kurillan made off for. I

was planning on stopping my anyway, so I figure I might as well see what's happening."

"Uh excuse me." Orion finally spoke. He'd been straining to hear but to no avail.

They were just to far out and the wind blew to heavily. Icarus bellowed and moved

toward the window. "Aghhhh!" Orion screamed taking a step back. Icarus turned around

and motioned for Orion to get on board. "It's OK Orion. He wants you to ride him."

Orion hesitantly tiptoed closer to the little dragon. Finally taking a deep breath he leaped

onto the dragons back. holding onto it's neck for dear life. "Arraaakkk" Icarus squealed.

Orion opened his eye's and smiled. "Cool." He murmured as he scratched Icarus's head.

Icarus swooped into the air stopping just in front of Gohan. "See Orion. He's a

nice dragon." Orion nodded, smiling.

"Well then now that that's taken car of. Let's go see if we can find your father." Tien

suggested.

* * * * *

As the three made their way around the building a lone figure crept from out of the

shadows of the hospital room. The darkness still concealed the color of his the cloak that

he bore from head to toe. A long white beard penetrated the lower part of the hood.

Eye's glowing blue with age not fitting the story the beard foretold. He looked as if he

were a Young man wearing a long hairpiece.

He stepped over To the window and looked in the direction the three went. The

moonlight shown upon his face, reviling young skin. He turned his head Towards the

moon and smiled. His smile was oddly comforting. Like a grandfather praising his

grandson. He closed his eye's and spoke a single word. "Soon." With that his entire being

faded into the shadows once again.

* * * * *

"So that's the entire story Goku." Kurillan finished. Goku nodded.

"So you don't know who this kid is, or anything about him?" Kurillan shook his head.

"All I know is what I've heard in the town market. Just rumors about a super strong slave,

fighting for Murdock."

"And who's this Murdock?" Goku asked.

"Someone we shouldn't have to worry about for at least ten to twenty." Came a strong

voice from the door. Everyone looked towards to emergency room entrance. There stood

Tienshinan, followed closely by Gohan. "Tien!" Everyone shouted in unison. Kurillan

blinked, and looked back towards the waiting room. Then back at Gohan. "Hey Gohan.

How'd you get outside?" Gohan smiled.

"Through the window silly." Gohan looked behind Tien. "And guess who I found.

Tah-da!" With that Orion stepped from out of Tien's shadow.

Piccolo had been standing next to the entrance when Tien and the other's had

come in. As soon as Orion made his presence known he jumped back across the room.

'Amazing. I don't feel him at all." He thought angrily to himself. "Not even a single spark

of energy."

Goku's reaction was much calmer. "Whoa. Man what a strange power." His mind

jumbled. He could feel it since he'd gotten to the hospital. He'd felt Gohan get up and

slowly make his way to the room. He'd felt Tien's approach. And he'd felt all three make

their way around the building. In all his time he'd never felt a power so radical as this

boy's. Who was he? Was he human. He still couldn't tell. One thing was for sure. He was

getting stronger. Little by little, Goku could feel minor execrations in the boy's power.

Like he was still healing.

Kurillan's reaction was much like Piccolo's, only for different reason's. Like

Gohan, he noticed the boy's sudden jump in height. Not only did Orion look taller, but

older too. Instead of the little six year old he'd believed Orion to be, he now looked at

least ten.

Goku got to one knee and looked at Orion happily. "And who is this little guy?"

Orion stuck out his hand to Goku. "Hi. My names Orion." He replied smiling. Goku took

the little boy's hand and shook it lightly. "Hi Orion. My name's Goku."

"Wow. Aren't you the guy who one the Strongest Under the Heavens a few years back?"

Orion said excitedly.

He'd heard stories about the age old tournament. The strongest fighters on the

earth battling it out until the last one remaining was crowned the victor. He'd hoped the

enter one day. But for some reason the stopped holding the tournament every three years.

"Yep, that's me." Goku said getting back on his feet. Orion looked at him with

nothing more than simple admiration. "Wow! I hear you really kicked the demon

king's royal butt in the last tournament." In the background everyone could hear piccolo

growl. Goku put his hand on Orion's head and ruffled the kid's hair. "I wouldn't quite go

that far." He said smiling.

"Uh.... Excuse me." It was the nurse who'd taken Vegeta away. "It's going to be a

while until your friend is through with the test's. So if all of you could please wait in the

waiting room..." She pointed towards the door, looking nervously at Piccolo. He glared

evilly at her. Finally he started for the room, as did everyone else.

"Arrakkk." Came a squeal from outside the hospital entrance. Gohan went to the

door and said a few words, then rushed to meet everyone inside the waiting room. When

he got there his father, Piccolo, Tien, and Kurillan were all in a circle. Orion sat in the

corner, still looking admiringly at Goku.

"You know someone should probably call Bulma." Kurillan stated. Everyone but

Orion looked at Kurillan. After a few seconds Kurillan bowed his head. "Ahhh why does

it always have to be me?!" He stammered. He quickly dug through his pockets for a

quarter, and walked out the door.

"Tien we have lot to discuss." Goku said. He crossed his arms as did Tien. Tien

nodded. "This morning me and Vegeta were on our way to korin tower when we sensed

an enormously evil power. Not very strong but it was definitely evil." Tien nodded again.

"I sensed it too. But only for a split second." Tien replied. Goku shook his head in

agreement. "We intercepted him as quickly as possible. But before we could even get a

glimpse of his face he did a technique I think you would have recognized." Tien listened

intently. He knew what it must be before Goku uttered the words. "Solar flare." Goku

finished. Tien bowed his head. "I was afraid you were gonna say that."

"Hmmm" Goku murmured. "We need to know how many student's Tursennien

had before you and Chouzu. Maybe that would give us some leads on finding him." Tien

shook his head. "I didn't learn that technique from Tursennien." Tien sighed. "When I

was growing up there was a collage student livin next door. He was amazingly smart.

Especially in the art of controlling energy. He taught me allot of things. It was from his

teachings that I learned to control my own chi."

Tien turned his back to the others and looked out the window. "He was

completely amazed by it. Soon he developed a technique similar to the fusion process of

the sun. And from that we worked together to use solar flare." Goku and Piccolo listened

on as Tien described the student. Four feet tall. Long blond hair. "What was his name. I'd

like to talk to him." Goku asked. Tien shook his head. "You won't find him on this

planet. When he was 20 he got a job in aerospace. Two years later I heard about a ship

he built that could travel faster than light. He went into space along with three other

scientist's."

"Hmmm I see. And his name?" Goku asked. Tien turned to the again and bowed

his head. "His name was doctor...." He was cut off by a familiar voice from the entrance.

"Baret." Everyone quickly turned to the door. There in a wheelchair sat Vegeta. Behind

him stood the nurse that took him away. "I'm afraid the doctor refused to work with him.

Something about excessive ruddiness."

"I'm blind you stupid hag! What else do I have to be rude about." Vegeta snarled. The

nurse stepped around him and stared at him for a second. Her eye's were on the verge of

tears. Her face suddenly went stern. Pulling back her fist she knocked Vegeta square in the

jaw. His face went back a little as he smiled. She glared evilly at him as a single tear ran

down her cheek. Finally she ran out of the room holding her fist in pain. Goku looked at

him sternly. "Was that really necessary?" He asked. Vegeta turned his face in Goku's

direction and smiled.

Bulma was in the shower when the phone rang. "Arrrhhhh what is it now. It

better not be that no account man of mine." She screamed as she got out of the shower.

Quickly she picked up a towel and covered herself, and made for the phone. "Hello." She

screamed into it. "Whoever this is I hope you know that you just interrupted my shower

and I hope you feel really guilty about it so there. Now speak!"

The voice on the other side of the line seemed hesitant at first but finally spoke up.

"Gosh Bulma. I'm sorry" Came a small voice. "It's me Kurillan."

"Yes, Kurillan, what do you need?" She yelled

"Well you see it's kinda like this..."

* * * * *

Bulma slowly put down the phone. Kurillan had told her the entire story. Some

guy named Tervin. Fight's at Korin tower. and Vegeta...

"Blind?" Bulma said outloud. She didn't know yet if she loved him but.... "Oh my gosh. I

gotta get to the hospital fast!" She thought to herself. Before the thought had run it's

course she was out of the towel and into some respectable attire. Quickly she ran to her

cruiser and turned the ignition. Some pedestrians flew to the ground as the crusier took

off at full speed and down the street.

* * * * *

The man awoke slowly, his mind a total blur. In the background he could hear

voices. "Will he be OK mommy?" The voice of a little girl. Like a bell made of winter

snow. "I don't know honey. He sure is healing offal fast." The voice of a woman. Kind

and soft. A mother's voice. His mother? No she was long dead. "If he makes it through

the night I'd say he'll be OK." The man fought a vein effort to regain all his senses. Soon

he fell back into his deep sleep.

* * * * *

Bulma's cruiser speed through the parking lot and up to the emergency room

entrance. She quickly jumped out of the seat and made for the door, not even bothering

to turn off the ignition. Suddenly she stopped at the entrance. "Uh oh!" She immediately

ran back to the cruiser and grabbed an item from the passenger seat. "Can't forget my

purse." She sighed. "What's a girl to do"

Finally she continued towards the emergency room. As she stepped into the lobby

she looked around. Nobody, except for the lady behind the desk. "Excuse me mam.

Could you by chance tell me where I can find....." The lady cut her off by pointing to a

door to the right side of the lobby. "Oh...Thank you." She replied, smiling.

When she stepped through the door she could hear a familiar voice. "So after the

little dragon dropped him in the manure the police showed up, and after some loud debate

they took him away. It seam's the permits on his stand haven't been paid in over four

months." It was Tienshinan. He was huddled around some other familiar faces, Goku,

Kurillan, and Piccolo. In the back she could see Gohan playing with another little boy.

"It's about time you got here." The sudden voice behind her took her by surprise.

She abruptly jumped into the air and landed on a nearby seat. Immediately she looked up.

There before her stood Vegeta. His arms crossed and face to her. Yet something was

different. His eye's. They no longer held the fire she'd noticed so many times before. They

looked..... dead.

"Vegeta...." She murmured. He turned his head. Finally he turned his whole back

to her. "If you've come here to give me your pity like the others then save it and leave. I

don't want it." This angered Bulma. It seemed like every time she thought that she was

close to loving him he would say or do something like this.

"That's enough Vegeta... Your stalling." Goku finally intervened. Vegeta turned

his head to him and put on a disgruntled face. "Fine Kakarott. Have it your way." He

turned his body and moved through them to the window. "You want to know how I

know Tervin, correct?" He felt Goku's nod. The amazing sensing abilities he was

developing had reached there peek about an hour ago. Since then they had neither grow,

nor weakened. He put his palms on the sides of the window sill. "It was a very long time

ago. As you know, newborn sayons are tested for they're potential, and then sent off to an

appropriate world to conquer." Vegeta smiled. He missed those days. "I finished my third

world quickly and returned home... to Planet Vegeta....."

Chapter Eleven.

The Sayon pod powered down it's engines and began it's decent upon the planet.

It's small passenger pushed the controls and gave the artificial intelligence orders like a

pro, not wavering in the least. Pod's like these weren't designed for easy landing's. Very

few could even think they were up to the task. Never the less the pod slowed and came to

almost four feet from the rocky surface. After a few brief seconds the pod took off again

to the north.

Flying across the rocky gorges and mountains the pod came to it's final

destination. The Sayon Royal Palace. The passenger uttered an order and turned total

control over to the intelligence matrix. The pod zoomed into the docking bay and landed

on an inverted circle, fitting into it like a glove. A few other order's and the pilot opened

the hatch.

The small boy jumped out of the pod and started towards the entrance, his tail

wagging in the suttee breeze. He stopped at the door to greet someone who seemed to be

waiting for him. He was a big man. Very big. The boy couldn't help but utter a small

giggle at the mans bald head and silly mustache. "Greeting's Vegeta." The man said as he

bowed his head and gave a salute. His voice telling that he wasn't used to edict and

protocol.

The man looked at him strangely. "Your highness here we wear our tails around

our waist." He pointed towards his midsection. Vegeta smirked. Finally he did as the

man was obviously suggesting, and swung his tail across his waist. "There we go. That's a

good lad. By the way I'm Nappa. I'll be your caretaker and teacher until you take over as

king. So if you have any question's..." The boy threw up his hand.

"I won't be needing anything from you." Vegeta said callously and started walking down

the hall. "I'm going to report to my father. Get my pod inspected. It needs a little work

on the pulse drive."

Nappa scowled as he watched the little boy walk down the hall. Finally he bowed

his head and smiled. "Yep. he's just like his old man, tough as nails." He turned and

walked into the bay. "Common you pitiful maggots. Get this pod up to engineering now!"

* * * * *

Vegeta slowly entered the thrown room. He turned his eyes in all directions, not

turning his head the slightest bit. He marveled at all the strong warriors lined up on both

sides of the red carpet. He couldn't help but get a thrill at knowing that even though they

were older and more experienced, he was still much stronger.

"Prince Vegeta your majesty." The courier called out. Vegeta looked forward.

There atop the steps stood his father. He slowly walked to him. Never taking his eye's

from his father's. When at last he reached the steps he bowed, and looked up.

"Father. The mission on planet Ziel is complete. Not a single organic life form is

left." Is father kept his head up and gave a small nod.

"Excellent Vegeta. Your doing better than I'd hoped." Vegeta noticed something in his

voice. Like he was hiding something. Something important. "However I have new mission

for you. Zoran." He looked to his left and the body guard stepped forward. "Zoran will

inform you on your way. You are both to leave immediately." King Vegeta got up and

started towards the right door.

"Father I'm sure that whatever the mission is I can handle it by myself." Vegeta

pleaded. "Silence!" King Vegeta yelled. His voice could be heard all they way to the

landing bay. "You are not going to fight but to observe. Hopefully by the end of this

mission you will learn something useful. And not repeat my own mistakes." As he reached

the door he turned and faced Zoran. "By the way. Take Nappa with you. If he weren't the

strongest of my elite I would have killed the fool by now for his own ignorance."

Zoran nodded as the king left the room. He looked into the crowd of warriors.

"Dismissed!" As soon as the order was given the men turned and left the room single file.

Vegeta remained inside with his back turned to Zoran. Zoran moved down the steps and

put his hand on his shoulder. Vegeta quickly shrugged it off. "You'll understand when the

mission is over." Zoran said in an oddly comforting voice. "I promise." Vegeta turned his

head and looked at him. Every other Sayon he'd met had always seemed so brave, yet this

guy was actually trying to comfort him. How weak.

"Let's just get this over with." Vegeta snarled. "You can fill me in on the way to

the landing bay." He started walking down the hall and towards the landing bay. Nappa

had better have his pod ready. Or he'd be ready to do what his father was afraid to do.

Zoran hastily caught up with him.

"Have you ever heard of Genisis." He asked. Vegeta nodded.

"Wasn't that the name of the Human ship that landed here a few years back." Zoran

nodded.

"And the name of a special project that one of their scientist did here. Under the close

supervision of the Sayon army. The project was supposed to try and create a super

Sayon. needless to say it failed. Or at least so it was thought. Recent studies into their

records show that the project might of had partial success. They weren't able to create a

super Sayon but it seems they were able to create a child. The head scientist predicted

that as soon as it was born the child would have an enormous power level. Stronger than

both the contributing parties. Unfortunately the building was destroyed before the child

was born. The head scientist was killed in the chaos. Those that survived were allowed off

the planet to settle on some worthless planet we had no use for." Finally they reached the

door way to the hangar. "So what happened to the child."

"You mean Genisis. It was believed that it was killed in the accident. It was

theorized that the child was conceived in a maturation chamber. It's now possible that the

scientists might have found another way. The team that has been investigating the

accident found a journal written by the head scientist, Doctor Baret."

Vegeta held up his hand to stop him. "Nappa!" The large Sayon Immediately came

over to the two warriors. "Yes your highness." He scowled.

"We are leaving on a mission. By order of my father you are coming with us. Get the pods

ready." Nappa snapped into a salute.

"Yes sir!" As he walked away Vegeta could hear him cursing under his breath. He was

going to have a lot of fun with him.

"Continue." Vegeta said to Zoran. Zoran nodded.

"It's seems that doctor Baret knew that the experiment was going to fail unless he came

up with a different way to mature the embryo. So he planted it into one of his female

assistants while she was asleep. The next day he gave everyone the day off and caused the

accident."

Vegeta nodded. "So our mission is to find the child and bring him back here?"

Zoran shook his head. "No. We are to find him and exterminate him." Vegeta shrugged.

"Easily done. I still don't know why my father wanted you to come along."

"Your not to be in the battle."

"WHAT!" Vegeta snarled.

"Doctor Baret also predicted that the maturation of the embryo could have a significant

effect on the mother. Meaning that she'll be even more powerful than the child.

Somewhere in the neighborhood of 7,000." Zoran stated. "The child should be helpless so

all we need to worry about is the mother if she's alive." Vegeta scowled. He didn't like

the idea of having to stay out of the action. It made him feel good to overpower his

opponent. Like it made him stronger. "Nappa! Where are those pods."

* * * * *

Vegeta opened up the door to his pod. Hmmmm..... The smell of those factory

solvent's the maintenance tech's used on the seat did wonder for the sinuses. He sat in the

seat and fiddled with the controls. Almost on instinct he brought up the diagnostics

screen. Good. The repairs he'd order had been completed. He looked up at Nappa.

"Excellent work Nappa. Maybe I'll keep you around after all." He sneered. Nappa

bowed his head and said thank you as he turned to get the other pods ready. As he

walked away Vegeta could hear him mumbling multiple curses.

"So what planet are we going to find Genisis." Vegeta asked, not even bothering

to look at Zoran. He continued to fiddle with the computer, resetting the engine

configuration to his own delight's. "Damn Engineers." He thought to himself.

"Kartis three" Zoran replied. Vegeta looked up and nodded.

Finally he jumped out of the pod and looked around the hangar. Nappa was on

other side getting the engineers moving. Quickly they placed the other pods down beside

Vegeta's. "Are we finally ready to go?" Vegeta asked in an annoyed manner.

* * * * *

The three pods soared through the sky as they left for they're destination. Vegeta

flicked a switch opening a com channel between his pod and Zoran's. "How far is the

Kartis system?" He hoped it wouldn't be far. He hated going into suspended animation.

"Three day's by sublight." Zoran replied. "We'll have to use the suspended animation

matrix aboard...."

"I know what it means!" Vegeta snapped. He could tell that suspended animation was

something he was going to have to get used to.

* * * * *

The three Sayon's perched themselves upon a high cliff overlooking the frozen

valley. The landing had been simple. Vegeta had decided to forgo the delicate landing

and plunge in like the others. Besides, with any luck he would land on his target and the

mission would be over. He looked around the ice and glaciers. Why someone would

want to live here and not in the tropical regions of this planet he would never know.

Zoran took his scouter out and put it on. "Well let's see what we got here." The

scouter bussed as it began it's task. Finally it settled on seven power levels." All were

very low except two. "Hmmmm....." Zoran murmured.

"Well. What's it say." Nappa asked. He hate suspended animation more than Vegeta.

The time off in the kings fortress hadn't help matters. "There are two power's here that

don't fit. One is around 3,000. The other is at 2,000." Zoran smiled. "Easily taken care

of."

He didn't know why the king wanted Vegeta to come along. Perhaps so that his

son wouldn't repeat his own mistakes. Perhaps just to get his brat out of his sight. Who

knows. Who cares. This mission would be finished in less than an hour.

"Well let's go and get this over with." Vegeta snarled. He wanted to go home.

This mission was beneath his notice. Like he was some sort of errand boy. He began to

levitate and fly toward the direction that Zoran had pointed. Suddenly he felt something

tug his leg. "Sorry your majesty. But you father gave orders for you not to be in the

fighting. You can watch from here." Vegeta's face became stern. This.... This.... This

sucked.

He flew back down to he cliff as he watched the other two fly off toward a small

cottage. "This better be a good show." He said as he reached for his belt and pulled out a

scouter. Attaching it to the left side of his face he began t take a reading. Nappa was at

3,900. with Zoran at 3,000. How weak.

* * * * *

Zoran and Nappa landed in front of the cottage. Nappa started to shiver. "Man

ain't you cold?"

"Nope." Zoran replied. His cloak covering him well enough from the arctic winds. "Let's

get this over with." He tried the door. Locked. "How rude." Zoran stated as he kicked in

the door. As he was about to step in he was suddenly pushed aside by Nappa. "OK where

is it. I know I saw a chimney. Ahhh there it is." Nappa said as he finally found what he

was looking for. A fire place. He quickly turned around and began warming himself by

the fire.

Zoran finally entered the room and looked around. It was a quaint looking

cottage. Random nicknaks that seemed to provide as easy of a life that you could hope for

in this region of the planet. Finally his sight came to the table. There sat one of the most

beautiful women he'd ever seen. "Good to see you again Galen." Zoran finally said. "I'm

sure you remember me." Galen nodded her head and rose from her seat.

"I remember." She said in a frightened tone. Zoran smiled.

"We've come for Genisis. Where is it?" Zoran numbly asked. As soon as the words

escaped his lips he heard a noise come form the back door. "Mom! Mom! I caught a polar

kracken. Come see." Came a childish voice. The voice opened the door and took the form

of a small boy. Perhaps four years old. Maybe less. "We'll be able to eat for a year... Who

are you." The small boy asked when he noticed they weren't alone.

"I'm just an old friend of your mothers." Zoran replied. His elegant tone

reflecting through every word. "I take it your Genesis." The little boy shook his head.

"No. My names Tervin." Zoran looked the little boy over eyes coming to rest on the little

tail coming out of his hind end. "Oh yes. He's Genisis all right." Nappa said as he finally

removed himself from the fireplace. "Leave him alone." Galen shouted.

She started to attack Zoran. Zoran held his hand up to her midsection and released

a beam of energy. The beam found it's target and pierced it with no trouble. The boy

watched horrified as he saw his mother fall lifeless to the ground. His breathing

quickened. Zoran looked at him with an Icy stare. "Now it's your turn. Huh. What

the...!." The boy was quickly surrounded by red light.

Zoran never new what hit him. He lay ten feet away form the house. His mind a

jumble he tried to get a handle on what just happened. He tried to get up. Pain. Sharp

pain, In his legs....and arms. All around his chest. Even his face felt like it was on fire.

What had that kid done? And how?

Vegeta watched on, his eye's opened wide. Just what in the hell was that. All of a

sudden the kids power level jumped from 3,000 to 12,000. Then went down again just as

suddenly. How in the hell was that possible. Vegeta intended to find out. To hell with his

fathers orders. If he didn't intervene, the most elite warrior in his army was about to die,

By the hand of a child. He didn't like Nappa personally but a death like that would put one

hell of a blemish on the sayons record. Vegeta jumped into the sky and headed full speed

to towards what was left of the cottage.

Nappa stared at the broken body of Zoran. It was amazing. One second the kids

on the ground pouting over his mother's death. The next second he folding Zoran around

like he was a piece of paper. He quickly turned his glance over to the boy. He was

breathing hard. Good. Nappa decide to attack now while he had an advantage. "You

little.... Now you die!" Napa leaped into the air, balled up his fists, and brought them

down upon the child.

Nappa didn't know what happened. He remembered attacking. He remembered

screaming. He remembered... a light. A bright red light...that encircled the boy. He started

to move. He wasn't in as bad of a condition as Zoran. But his chest was on fire. The kid

must have countered with a blow to the chest. So fast... Even he couldn't see it.

He finally opened his eye's. He was embedded into a large block of Ice. About fifty

feet away from the cottage. Then he noticed something else. The kid was right on him.

The same fire glow surrounded him. He balled up his fist ready to finish off the elite

warrior. Just before his fist should of pounded Nappa's face into oblivion...it stopped.

The boy looked confused as he saw yet another of these strange men. No. Not a

man. But a boy. Just a little older than he. "I don't think so." Vegeta said as he

maneuvered his body and brought his foot into contact with Tervin's face. The boy flew

across the ice and snow. Landing just a few feet from Zoran's broken body. He quickly

got to his feet. Just to be sent spiraling down again by a blow from Vegeta's fist.

Vegeta stood for a second and crossed his arms. "Very impressive. But you have

a lot to..." Vegeta was cut short by Tervin getting back up. He looked at Vegeta with the

rage of a man possessed. "Learn." Vegeta finally finished his sentence. As the words

trickled of his tongue Tervin lept towards him. Vegeta readied to defend himself. Then

something happened that he didn't expect. Tervin disappeared.

Vegeta looked around. Nothing. Where the hell did he go? Suddenly Vegeta felt

a blow to his back, sending him flying across the ice and snow. As he flew he began to

turn around and as he faced upward he caught a glimpse of Tervin running to beat him to

where ever Tervin had sent him. Vegeta smiled. He looked downward as he hurtled

toward an Icing cliff. The cliff was soon graced be by Tervin's presence. Vegeta quickly

pout his arms in front of him, jutting his palms out to the front.

Tervin looked at him ready to attack. He didn't even expect the huge rush of

energy the came crashing into him instead of his powerful opponent. He was slammed into

the wall of ice. Vegeta flight had been stopped short by the inertia of his beam. He

quickly did a flip bringing himself to his feet.

He slowly looked over the boy. He was laying on the ground his body broken and

bleeding, But definitely alive. Vegeta could see one eye open. Looking at him with

hatred that he would one day relate to Freeza.

Nappa made his way over to where Vegeta stood. "Nice work." Nappa said as he stood

there wide eyed. He'd heard of the prince's power. He never really believed it. Typical

sayons only round out to a power level of 3,000. It's rare to see one higher. Hell, King

Vegeta only has a power level of 7,000.

"So are you gonna finish him off so we can get out of here." Nappa asked

reluctantly. Vegeta continued to look into Tervin's eye. There was something....

Haunting about it. Like he knew he'd be seeing it again on day. "No." Vegeta finally

replied. Nappa stared at the prince. "What do you mean! No? Our orders were to

exterminate this little pest."

Vegeta at last turned his eye's to Nappa. "Think about it Nappa. this kid put up

on hell of a fight. Hell look at Zoran." Both of them turned to they're broken partner. He

lay where he landed. Broken and bleeding, an occasional twitch told them he wasn't dead,

yet. "I got a better Idea. What's the worst punishment you can think of for a Sayon?"

Vegeta asked as he kicked Tervin over. "You don't mean...?" Nappa mumbled.

"I certainly do. I can think of no better way to disgrace our young friend here."

"Ha Vegeta that's mean.. I love it." Nappa retorted.

Vegeta nodded and looked at his target. Tervin's tail. He held out his hand and

released a tiny, red hot beam. Tervin's tail quickly turned to ashes. Under all the pain he

was feeling right now the burning pain he felt right now screaming in front of it all. He

screamed like a man possessed. Nappa quickly covered his ears. Vegetal continued to

burn. He didn't want this to grow back. Finally he stopped.

Vegeta looked down at the bloody black mess where Tervin's tail used to be. He

couldn't help but laugh. Nappa walked over to Zoran and kneeled down beside him. "Hey

Zoran. No sleeping on the job." Zoran didn't speak. Didn't mumble. Didn't give any sign

that he'd herd Nappa at all. "Well what do we do with him?" Nappa asked. Vegeta didn't

answer he took out his pod remote an press a button. "Leave him." Nappa nodded.

"For a Sayon to be beaten by a little boy. How weak. He heh." Nappa said as he picked up

Zoran by the neck. Looking into his face he hurtled him across the mountains.

The pods arrived in haste. Vegeta opened the door to his as he looked at Zoran's.

"Hmmm. Can't leave that laying around can we." He pushed the self distruct button on

his remote. Zoran's pod blew up in a massive explosion. Nappa shielded his eye's as he

climbed into his pod. "Well Nappa your ready to go home?" Vegeta asked over the

intercom. "Hmmmhuh." Nappa argued. The two pods shot into the air, and quickly out of

sight. If the two had stayed a moment longer they would have seen a little blue car

running down the road towards the quaint little cottage.

End of part Five.
