The Top 10 Vampires

note: Because I like two characters about the same I put in a tie for first place.

1. LESTAT DE LIONCOURT

Note: Ok this should be kind of obvious since this is what my page is mainly about.
Where you'll find him: If you live in the dark ages and have never heard of Lestat you can read Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles or watch the movie Interview With the Vampire which is rather good. I however recommend reading the book though anyway it is alot better.
Why did I choose his as number 1: Well think about it he's the best there is. Nothing can kill this guy. The only thing that could possibly kill him is if someone beheaded him or the likes of that. He's not really whinny about being a vampire instead he makes the most of it unlike Louis. He's good looking. He refuses to follow any rules that might be made. He's one of the strongest vampires in the Anne Rice Vampire Chronicles and he's only about two hundred years old. Admit it he is the best.

AND...

Jean Claude

Where you'll find him:You can find him in books written by Laurell K. Hamilton. I'll be more specific another time.
Why I chose him as number 1:Well lets see he's just f***ing great. This guy is good looking, sometimes funny and always fascinating. However he has a flaw because he's in love with a vampire executioner who doesn't feel the same. I however don't see why not. However the bad thing about this vampire it's got the typical things that kill a vampire. However one really cool thing about him is that he can control wolves and werewolves.

2. VALEK

Where you'll find him: You'll find him in the movie John Carpenters Vampires which is based off a book called VAMPIRE$ by John Steakley. I don't know the difference between the book and the movie either since I have not read it.
Why did I choose him as number 2: Well to be honest he can kick some serious a**. For the type of vampire that the movies deal with wear you can stake them, shoot them, behead them, and burn them and they all do bodily harm and the only thing that stops this guy is sunlight he is pretty f***ing awsome. And just think if he was able to preform his ceremony with the Black Cross not even the sunlight would effect this guy. That's why I put him as number 2.

3.MARIUS DE ROMANUS

Where you'll find him:He to belongs to Anne Rice but if you want to find him you'll have to look in specific books such as The Vampire Lestat, Queen of the Damned, He has a very small part in The Tale of the Body Thief, I can't remember if he was in Memnoch the Devil or not it's been awhile since I've read it. You can also find him in Pandora and Armand. The best to read for him are TVL, Pandora, and Armand because he's in those the most.
Why did I choose him as number 3:From the first moment I started reading about him in The Vampire Lestat I have loved this character. Then my love grew stronger with him as I read Pandora and Armand. He's a wonderful character. He was once the keeper of those who must be kept and one of the strongest vampires. I think one of the things I like about him the most is that he's an artist... you can't get any better than that.

4.AKASHA: QUEEN OF THE DAMNDED

Where you'll find her:She belongs to Anne Rice. Ok you can find her spoken of by Marius in The Vampire Lestat, The Queen of the Damned has tons of stuff in there about her and it she actually has speaking parts. You can also find out ofther stuff about her in Pandora but the best are the Queen of The Damned and The Vampire Lestat.
Why did I choose her as number 4:Alright the reason is she was the first born and can really cause some serious damage. She may have been a little bit messed up in the head but she was still a really cool vampire. There were actually many things that appealed to me about her.

5.ALLISON PERN a.k.a SITA

Where you'll find her:She's a character made by Christopher Pike who did a series of books called The Last Vampire. They were pretty cool. In case you've never heard of Christopher Pike it might be because he does book for young adults. When I was younger I used to read his books. They're actually not that bad. Anyway I read this book and became quite intrested in the character. However seeing they're for young adults they are quite different from Anne Rice novels. Basically they are the Anne Rice novels for the youth.
Why did I choose her as number 5:Well I definatly have to say that she is far more different than any other vampire I have read about. She was made by the first Vampire according to that series named Yakasha. Gee did he perhaps read Anne Rice novels because if you take the Y off you have Akasha. And she was the first in her books. Anyway throught the series of six novels she's fighting off reincarnations of the people she knew in past years. Which is kind of intresting but gets kind of old and predictable after awhile but they are good. This woman can do just about anything and there's hardly anything that can kill her. One of the really intresting aspects of this character is that she was a Hindu... I find that kind of intresting seeing how the Hindu religion is. Anyway I'm straying from thae path. I just think that this character is really intresting. I've actually taken aspects of her and a few other vampire characters and used them for a series of story's I'm wrighting. It's just too bad that the series was done for young adults because it had so much potential.

6.DRACULA

Note: I'm talking about the one played by Gary Oldman in Bram Stokers Dracula. Not some of the cheap played low budget versions.
Where you'll find him:Like I said Bram Stokers Dracula. One of the best made versions of his books.
Why did I choose his as number 4:I just love this guy. If you watch Bram Stokers Dracula he is just too cool. I mean I love how he can appear as young or old, and as a wolf. He can command animals. Can turn to mist ect. I also like how when he is with Jonathan Hocker his shadow isn't even doing the same things that he does. He is certainly a vampire that has depth. He has an undying love for his wife Elizabeta and falls deeply in love with Hocker's Mina (both played by Wynona Rider. I hope I spelled that right) The only sad thing is most of the typical things in vampire movies work against him...sigh

7.DAVID

Note: for all you Anne Rice fans this is NOT David Talbot. So far at this point I don't think I would ever put him on this list. Not as a put down on the character he's good but I just don't think he fits on the list.
Where you'll find him:The Lost Boys. It's a recommended movie.
Why did I choose his as number 5: Well even though he wasn't a remarkable vampire you have to admit, if you seen the movie, he was pretty cool. It's not like there was anything extreamly special about him but I liked the character. He's not like most of the whinny vampires you see today he lives life to the fullest and he was played by a great actor. Incase you're wondering...Kiefer Sutherland.

8.ZACHARY

Where you'll find him:watch the movie The Vampire Journals
Why did I choose his as number 6:Ok I normally don't go for the type of vampires that go around killing other vampires and are all depressed about being a vampire but Zachary is an exception to my rule. There is just something about him that I find appealing. Zachary is the type of vampire who was seduced to becomming a vampire and as revenge he is killing his masters entire bloodline. He's got a really cool sword too. Anyway there seems to be quite a bit of depth to this character even though the movie wasn't as greatly developed as the character was. He's kind of like a Louis but better.

9.DEACON FROST

Where you'll find him:Blade
Why did I choose him as number 9: Alright he was a kick a** vampire in a movie full of stupid idiotic vampires who actually deserved to die This can be taken very seriously because I rarely ever say that a vampire deserves to die. It actually hurts me to say that but it's true. Anyway back to Frost he was just pretty damn cool and he was out to get more power and didn't conform to the rules that those stupid "pure bloods" came up with. I swear those guys were a bunch of fags. I mean not that vampires don't normally go both ways but I mean there attitudes were just plain stupid. Face it they DESERVED there untimely demise. Anyway back to Frost again he just had the type of attitude you just don't see in vampires to much anymore. He was pretty damn cool. It's too bad he got killed off in the end.

10. ARMAND

Note:Ok I think I better give you a better idea of my feelings for Armand. When I first saw Interview With the Vampire I liked him and then I read the book and liked him even more. Mind you he was never my favorite and I was only developing a taste for him. From the begining Lestat was and will always be my favorite. I come to the point where I grew to hate Armand. I was in the middle of reading The Vampire Lestat when I met a friend of mine who was obsessed with Armand. From that moment on he was constantly putting down Lestat and kept trying to force me to believe that Armand was better. Ever since then we have been in arguement and I've hated Armand. Recently I started reading the Vampire Armand well at first it just made me hate him even more and slowly I began to like him agai and I feel he deserves a place on this list. I just hope that friend of mine never stumbles onto this page or I will never hear the end of it.
Where you'll find him:Interviw With The Vampire, The Vampire Lestat, Small part in Queen of the Damnded, Even smaller part in Memnoch the Devil, The Vampire Armand
Why did I choose him as number 10:Well he's actually pretty cool. I don't really know what to put here since I still can't completely like him. I just thought he fit. Once I can come up with some really good reasons, which I know I can cause I have some somewhere in my head or I wouldn't have put it here to begin with I will put them here. Maybe becasue lately he's always been there for Lestat being ever so loyal and being with him for moral support. I don't know.

Ok here's a top ten joke thing that got sent to me through e-mail I thought that it was quite intresting so I decided to post it here.
