Armand was born in Kiev, Russia and was sold into slavery in Constantinople when he was kidnapped by some Tartars. Marius evntually became his masterand used him in his painting titled The Temptation of Amadeo. Which was the name that Marius gave him. (Amadeo means "Beloved of God")
He was turned into a vampire by Marius at the approximate age of sixteen when he was poisoned by a cut with a sword by an envious lover. Marius didn't want him to die so he turned him into a vampire.
One night while in Marius's house with a friend of there's, I think her name was Bianca, they were attacked by a coven of vampires named The Children of the Damned. They took Armand and attempted to kill Marius. IT was at this point that the coven leader Santino turned Armand into a member of the coven.
Eventually Armand became a high member of the coven and was sent off to lead the coven in Paris. He lead the Paris coven until Lestat came in and tore everything they had valued apart and the clan had broken.
I have a quote from Armand about that which I had put in the Lestat section but I think I will move it into this area at a later date.
