I started this page with the hopes of changing peoples way of thinking toward the children and adults that have Different-Abilities in their life.

This year I was told I am considered legally Deaf.Therefore I am also considered Dis-Abled. I have and will not think of myself as Dis-Abled, because of all the stigmatism that comes with that term.I had a very tough time with this word.

One person who knows how I feel about this word said it this way."You are Not Dis-Abled but you are Differently-Abled".I like the way that "sounds". So to the children (and adults,of all ages) that have been told you can't do something or you can't reach your Dream because you are also considered Dis-Abled. I say to you. YES,You can because you are Differently-Abled. You can do anything that you set your mind to.You might have a Different way of doing things but you can do it.

I might not Hear with my Ears, but I can hear more with my eyes,hands and with my Heart. I can see what you say with my eyes. I can touch and feel with my hands.My heart tells me so much more about everything then my ears ever did. Yes, I may be Deaf and I may be Different, but I can still hear what is in your heart.
