THE BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN

THE BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN (1935) Was the Immensly popular sequel of the original Boris Karloff film Frankenstein. The story involved Dr Frankenstein who survived the first film, and one Dr Praetorious. It appears our good dr Frankenstein wants to give up on the whole playing god thing but Praetorious will not let him, and wants one more creation. Meanwhile the creation of Frankenstein escapes death as well and begins wreaking a bit of havoc in his search for some understanding and companionship. The creation eventually finds praetorious and they work together to force Frankenstein to create a female for the creation.(I refuse to call Karloffs a character a creature, as he was not given a choice in his life, but made do as best he could.)Either way, bride is created but rejects him. in his anguish the creation starts destroying everything, telling Dr Frankenstein and his fiance to leave them. The creation, dr Praetorious and the Bride.(played by Elsa Lanchester.) all seemingly perish at the end.

Okay. there's the review. Now I just have to say one thing. Damn! The bride is hot. I believe it was Elsa herself who was attractive, but in that outfit. Of course the fact that she played Mary Shelly as well and looked good in that role too didn't hurt. This movie is a definite must see for everyone who likes classic horror.
