T.C.F.C. Tournament Rules and Regulations
1999
1. RULES- The interpretation of these rules will be left exclusivley to the tournament director. The decisions of the tournament director are final in all matters and are not subject to appeal. Protests must be made in writing within 30 minutes of the official check in time.
2. PARTICIPATION AND ELIGIBILITY- Participation is open to anyone EXCEPT TCFC Staff members. Any person under the age of majority must also have the signature of his or her parent or legal guardian in the provided space on the entry form.
3.SPORTSMANSHIP- All contestants are required to follow high standards of sportsmanship, courtesy, and conservation.
4. PERMITTED FISHING METHODS- All fish must be caught legally. Refer to the State or County fishing laws for more information. Both live and artificial baits may be used.
5. PERMITTED FISHING LOCATIONS- Contestants may fish anywhere on the dock except in the no-fishing areas.
6. SCORING- Scoring will be determined by the pounds and ounces of each contestant's catch during the tournament. Only Largemouth Bass, Catfish and Crappie are accepted species. The limit will be the same as the State or Lake limit. At no time will a contestant posses more than the legal limit. It shall be the contestants responsibility to check the length of each fish to ensure it is legal before weigh in. Check the length and creel limits posted at the lake at which the tournament is being held.
7. LIVE FISH- Every effort must be made to keep your fish alive through the use of a fish basket or stringer. If you wish to keep your fish after weigh in at the end of the tournament, you may do so.
8. LATE PENALTY- Contestants who are not at the official weigh in area at the appointed time will be penalized at one(1) pound per minute deducted from the total weight. Any contestant more than fifteen(15) minutes late will lose credit for the day's weight.
9. TIES- In case of ties, positions will be resolved by combining the awards equally among the tied contestants. The tournament director may decide to break a first place tie with a fish-off.
10. PRIZES- There will be cash prizes for first, second, and third place in the tournament. The amount of the cash prizes will be detemined by the number of contestants in the tournament. Contestants who place fourth(4) thru seventh(7) will recieve a smaller prize.
11. WEATHER- The tournament will be held regardless of weather. In the event of severe weather(tornado watches or warnings) the tournament will be reschedualed for a later date.
