Beaches
If lying on the warm sand and working on that tan sounds divine, then a visit to Blue Spring Lake Beach or Longview Lake Beach. These waterfront swim beaches are equipped with a full-service concession stand, shower facilities and restrooms. Sand volleyball and playground equipment are other added features.American Red Cross certified lifegaurds are always on duty to insure safety. Day or season passes are available. Open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, Blue Springs Lake Beach and Longview Lake Beach are perfect places for family "fun in the sun."
Picnic Shelters
Your picnic outing will be sheer enjoyment at one of our shelters in Fleming Park or Longview Lake Park. A variety of ammenities provide fun for the entire family. Choose from shelters which overlook the lakes to those softball areas and sand volleyball pits. Many shelters have access to fishing and hiking trails. For your convenience, grills,tables and restrooms are located at each site.
Whether it's a family barbeque or company picnic, Jackson County Parks and Recreation will provide the perfect picnic setting.
