The Best Of Tommy James & The Shondells

Roulette SR42040

TOMMY JAMES & THE SHONDELLS sell more single records than any other Artist. In the past year they have sold over six million records in the United States alone.

This album contains more hits than ever put in one album by any one Artist.

While listening to this album, you will be able to trace the development of one of the biggest names in show business today.

Tommy's questioning mind and his ability to receive the vibrations, turn them around and translate them into his own musical language has made him one of the most creative and successful producers and writers in the business.

Tommy's music applies to his attitude towards life. His idea is "to bring people together through music."

MIKE VALE -- (bass) keeps to himself and concentrates on writing. Mike has been one of the co-writers on such milestones as "Crystal Blue Persuasion," "Kathleen McArthur," "Sugar On Sunday," "Loved One" and "Ball Of Fire."

EDDIE GRAY -- (lead guitar) is not flashy; he just takes care of business both on the road and in the studio. His business also includes the building of his own recording studio in his hometown of Scottdale, Pennsylvania.

PETER LUCIA -- (drums) from Morristown, New Jersey, is co-writer with Tommy James on "Crimson and Clover," "I'm Alive," "Changes" and "Papa Rolled His Own." Peter turns on the showmanship and he lives and plays what he believes.

RONNIE ROSMAN -- (organ) from New Kensington, Pennsylvania, is totally into music. Ronnie has a fine, brawling rhythm and blues voice which is spotlighted in the SHONDELL'S shows.
