What is a poem
does it always have to rhyme
I suppose it depends on the flow and time
must a poem mean something
not in every case
it just depends on the writers taste

Poems can move us to laughter or even tears
or they don’t move us at all
and are forgotten through the years
yet sometimes they only move a single soul
it just depends on the writers goal

Sometimes the meanings can be impossible to find
for they only exist in the writers mind
a poem can simply be feelings expressed
whether happy, sad, in love, or depressed

for a poem is just the writers command
