PWL News and Information for February 14, 1999.
-
The PWL is back and running after a one-month-plus hiatus. The first
card is scheduled for today, February 14. In the main event, World
and North American heavyweight champion PLAGUE defends both titles in a
two-on-one bout against former tag champions THE THUNDERFEET. Should
the 'Feet win, they are awarded both singles belts, and they would then
decide which 'Foot gets which title. All of that could be rendered
pointless, though, as Plague is ready to resume destroying all who stand
in his path.
-
One of those who is in the path of the champ is none other than THE TERROR.
That's right, fans, Terror, with valet DARK ANGEL, have invaded the
PWL after many triumphs in other organizations. The man is so despised
by the PWL faithful, that Plague is now receiving cheers during his anti-Terror
interviews. Terror makes his debut today against longtime crowd favorite
GRIMACE.
-
Before moving away from Terror, he informs us that he will bring in a tag
team that will make current champs STRIKE FORCE look like amateurs.
We shall see...
-
As one leaves, another exits: WILSON FISK, aka KINGPIN, has decided
to take time off from his wrestling schedule to concentrate on his business
empire. We at the PWL are sorry to see him go, but rest assured,
if he wants to return, the door is always open for a class act such as
Mr. Fisk.
-
It's not too early to talk about WRESTLERAMA 13, taking place at the end
of March. The longtime PWL tradition promises to be every bit as
big as its predecessors. Exact dates and card will be announced in
future updates.
