PWL BIGTIME WRESTLING
MONDAY, MAY 27, 2002 - CHICAGO, ILLINOIS.
Your Announcers: MIKE HOFFMAN and GENE WEST.
Match Number One:
RUDI RAE MOORE and DOLLY MIGHT vs.
EVE OF DESTRUCTION and SUAN.
Rudi Rae Moore and Dolly Might made a successful debut as a tag team, defeating Ladies' champion Eve of Destruction and her teammate SuAn in 5:25 when Rudi Rae pinned SuAn.
Mike Hoffman conducted an interview with THE TERROR, who has the shot at the World heavyweight championship at the PWL 24th Anniversary Show.
Match Number Two:
ADRIAN QUEEN (with Wild Pansy and Prince Vicious) vs.
GRAVY TRAIN GLUTZ (with Charles Nelson Manson).
Adrian Queen pinned Gravy Train Glutz in this one-on-one match after 9:44 of PWL-style grappling action. As a result of this match, The Pink Flamingos officially received the shot at the Unified tag championship at PWL24.
Match Number Three: ELMO BLATCH vs. ENCYCLOPEDIA BRAWN.
In this match of same-initialed wrestlers, it was Elmo that was the tougher of the two, handily thrashing Brawn in 4:41. Following the match, Encyclopedia Brawn informed Mike Hoffman that he will "bring in the reinforcements, man, book it."
Match Number Four: SWAMI YOGANTI vs. FILTH E. PIGG.
The up-and-down ways of Swami Yoganti continued, as he rebounded from the previous weeks' TV appearance by pinning Pigg in 10:02. It should be said that Filth E. was on offense for the majority of the match, but one mistake caused his downfall. If you saw the match, you know what the mistake was, it's not really worth repeating here.
Match Number Five: THE GRITHER vs. BUBBA SHAKESPEARE.
This was quite the lopsided match in favor of The Grither. The fans enjoyed it nonetheless. The appearance of Dwayne and T-Boy didn't stop The Grither's onslaught. All three were soundly beaten by The Grither, who ended up winning this match via knockout in 6:16.
Match Number Six:
DIRK MERCURY vs.
JUSTIN TOXICATED (with Al Coholic and John Barleycorn).
Having been wrestling individually for awhile, Dirk Mercury was able to take the advantage in this match early on, and was able to thwart the interference of Justin's A.A. cronies Coholic and Barleycorn. Unfortunately for Dirk, it was the unscheduled appearance of The Terror that caused his doom. Referee Tom Tate halted the bout at 7:19, awarding the win to Mercury. Terror, Justin, and Al took part in a three-on-one attack while Barleycorn cheered them on. Dirk was saved, though, by World heavyweight champion COOLEROY, who chased The Terror to the back and out of the building.
Match Number Seven:
WILSON FISK vs.
SUPER HORNET (with Super Heavy and Sweet Daddy Williams).
Professional wrestling's Kingpin fought tooth and nail with Super Hornet in this match. Actually, he dominated Hornet quite well, but it was the dastardly tactics of Super Heavy and Sweet Daddy that made this contest fairly even. Wilson Fisk was able to avoid some cheap shots at the hands of Super Heavy, and defeated Super Hornet in 8:55, albeit by countout.
Match Number
Eight, Television Main Event:
COOLEROY and FAT ALBERT vs.
REYNALDO GUERRERA and LARS LUNDQUIST (with The Woman Monique).
The former Unified tag champions, Guerrera and Lundquist, can say that they have the lovely The Woman Monique by their side. They sure can't say they were able to topple two of the biggest wrestlers (literally and historically) in the PWL. World champ Cooleroy pinned Lars Lundquist in 11:12 to polish off the match and the show.
