PWL BIGTIME WRESTLING

MONDAY, MAY 6, 2002 - ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI.

Your Announcers: MIKE HOFFMAN and GENE WEST.

Match Number One: SHAGGY and FREDDY vs.
CHARLES NELSON MANSON and GRAVY TRAIN GLUTZ.

The former Unified tag champions, flush with success over their win last week on Bigtime Wrestling, took on the cult favourites Shaggy and Freddy in tonight's curtain jerker. Manson and Glutz seem to be on a roll in the PWL, as they win this match in 8:49 when Glutz pinned Freddy. Shaggy was none too pleased at the result.

Mike Hoffman conducted an interview with "Kingpin" WILSON FISK. Fisk announced that when he returned to the PWL, he wanted one thing, the World heavyweight championship. "I know there are many guys here that want that big gold belt, and Cooleroy would love to keep it at all costs. Schoolhouse Rocky, Fat Albert, even my forever nemesis The Terror, all of them are gunning for the World title. But rest assured, Wilson Fisk is the only one with Cooleroy's number. Whether it's on June 10th, before, or after, Wilson Fisk is your future PWL World heavyweight champion."

Match Number Two: ENCYCLOPEDIA BRAWN vs. VERDUGO.

Even though Verdugo came up on the short end on last week's television show, he put on quite a performance. Against Encyclopedia Brawn, he had more than enough to take the victory. Verdugo won by submission in 9:19 over an easily outfoxed Brawn, who obviously did not have a good evening.

Match Number Three: ELMO BLATCH vs. SUPER HORNET (with Sweet Daddy Williams).

POwerful, strong Elmo was well on his way to a win here when the devious Super Heavy interfered, helping Hornet beat down Elmo Blatch. Referee Morty Duke ruled in favour of Blatch via disqualification of Super Hornet in 9:10. Surprising everyone, The Grither came to the aid of his rival Blatch. Grither informed Mike Hoffman that there was a code of honour among bruisers like himself and Elmo Blatch. "We can beat ourselves senseless, but nobody else better try, or they'll experience a wrath they'll never forget."

Match Number Four: SWAMI YOGANTI vs. FENWICK SHROYER.

The devious swami pulled out all the stops in this bout against Fenwick, one of the several talented Shroyer wrestling family. Fenwick's scientific ability was just enough to overcome Yoganti's loutish tactics. Shroyer pinned Yoganti after 10:37 of in-ring merriment.

Match Number Five: SMOOTH RUDY (with Mondo Mbamba) vs.
FIGGIE SHROYER.

Rudy has been duked it out many a time with every member of the Shroyer clan, but it never seems to get old. Once again, Rudy and Figgie conducted a veritable wrestling clinic. This match had dazzling aerial maneuvers, mat wrestling action, as well as some old fashioned "rulebending." Rudy, the more experienced of the two, prevailed here, winning a 17:51 thriller that spanned two television segments. PWL fans enjoy that sort of thing, you know.

Match Number Six: THE TERROR vs. SOUPSPOON.

Terror spent a few minutes before the match in his usual way, insulting PWL fans and sponsors. He spent additonal time laughing at his opponent's stage name when Soupspoon was introduced. His levity was quickly vanquished, as Soupspoon took offensive control at the opening bell. As one will normally find in the PWL, enthusiasm, guts, and a can-do attitude will take a wrestler far in the PWL. Unfortunately, aficionados of the PWL also know that The Terror is a devious, twisted individual who will stoop to any depth to win a match in outrageous fashion. Terror did not need shady tactics to defeat his rookie opponent, but he did so nonetheless. Terror scored the win in 10:47.

Match Number Seven, North American tag championship:
DONNIE GOSSETT and BLACKMALE, aka SOUL GLO (champions) vs.
TANKA SATCHMO and RUSSELL BRUTE (challengers, with Mondo Mbamba).

All four men in the ring knew each other very well, having been former members of the Fat Albert Gang. They might not get along these days, but their in-ring performance was as fluid and solid as that which a PWL fan has grown to appreciate. Not only that, but this match went a full 20 minutes, when time expired. It would appear that the PWL has settled on 20 minutes as the time limit for a televised bout, but who knows what next week will bring? Or the week after, for that matter? Anyway, both teams stared each other down after the contest ended, until Unified tag champions Reynaldo Guerrera and Lars Lundquist attempted to attack them from behind. Donnie, Blackmale, Tanka, and Russell joined forces, if only for one minute, to thwart the actions of the dastardly charges of The Woman Monique. For reasons unknown, Monique was not present here.

Match Number Eight, North American heavyweight championship:
EXTERMINANS (champion) vs.
WHOLE LOTTA MAN (challenger).

Fans were slightly shocked and amused to see Whole Lotta Man appear at a PWL television show, much less in its main event. Apparently, the Terror pulled some strings to get a TWO wrestler in this position. Terror himself was not selected for this spot, however, as he allowed Timouthey to choose Exterminans' challenger. Having heard that The PWL Suits have been intrigued with his skills, Whole Lotta Man exhibited quite a few actual wrestling holds in this match. There was one thing Exterminans had over WLM, that being a mentor in the likes of Joe The Giant. Exterminans pinned Whole Lotta Man in 11:55 to retain the North American championship.
