PWL22 RESULTS

PWL HALL OF FAME INDUCTION CEREMONY

• PWL President GENE WEST served as master of ceremonies, happily inducting JOE THE GIANT, MOLOTOV MIKE, VICIOUS VIVIAN, THE TRAIN, and GORGEOUS GREG into the new PWL Hall of Fame.

THUNDERCAT TRIBUTE

THE THUNDERCAT was remembered with a touching tribute. Several members of Thundercat's fans were on hand as he was posthumously named the sixth member of the PWL Hall of Fame.

THE PWL22 CARD

Announcers: KERMIT THE FROG, GUY SMILEY, MONTY SWELL.

KERMIT THE FROG opened by loudly hyping the PWL HOTLINE, followed by an interview with SUPER HEAVY. Heavy expressed gratitude that he would be in a position to win the World title, and promised "all the kids out there" that he would try his best to win.

Opening Match: IGGY, SIGGI, FIGGIE, FRANKIE, and FENWICK SHROYER defeated BOZO THE CLOWN, BUTCH, HERMAN THE GORILLA, FENWICK GRENCHER, and BOOMPAW in an elimination tag match. The order of elimination was as follows:

• Iggy Shroyer pinned Boompaw in 2:27;
• Siggi Shroyer pinned Herman the Gorilla in 5:49;
• Fenwick Shroyer and Fenwick Grencher eliminated each other by countout in 7:16;
• Bozo the Clown pinned Frankie Shroyer in 9:11;
• Figgie Shroyer pinned Butch in 9:55;
• Figgie Shroyer pinned Bozo the Clown in 11:31.

Second Match: STARSHINE HIPPIE pinned HUMAN TORNADO in 7:40.

• Starshine fought long and hard, and even the SHSHoTP was not enough to put Tornado away. Starshine finally prevailed with a piledriver reversal and pinfall.

KERMIT THE FROG shilled the PWL HOTLINE, then interviewed SCHOOLHOUSE ROCKY, who expressed in the thirs person why SHR would become the new World heavyweight champion.

Third Match: GRIMACE defeated SETH by submission in 4:04.

• Short and to the point, the Purple Menace completely overpowered the former World champion. Obviously an off-night for the mammoth Seth.

Fourth Match: CAP'N CRUNCH pinned NAUGA in 3:38 to regain the Midgets' World championship.

• The Cap'n most successful match in months, matching Nauga hold for hold in reclaiming the title he lost at WrestleRama 14.

RUFUS VAN PELT and BILLY JO JIVE are approached by two unknown wrestlers attempting to make some sort of "business deal." RVP and BJJ brush them off.

Fifth Match: MRS. BUTTERWORTH pinned ERMA ELSEY (with SGT BLAST) in 3:41 to retain the Women's World championship.

• Elsey and Blast's bombast proved to be merely hot air as Mrs. B took Erma to school in this one-sided affair.

KERMIT THE FROG hawked the PWL HOTLINE once again, then interviewed FAT ALBERT, who promised he would destroy The Terror, if not regain the World title.

Sixth Match: RUFUS VAN PELT and BILLY JO JIVE (with "Sweet" SUSIE SUNSET) defeated LONG SWEET LIPS (M. KLEATS, FOOT, and TANKA SATCHMO, with MONDO MBAMBA) in 9:00 to regain the North American tag team championship.

• RVP and BJJ looked like men possessed, outwrestling their three opponents and seemed to be on offense for the majority of the match. Billy Jo took the fall by pinning Satchmo. LSL seemed to be at odds with each other during and after the bout, but did not come to blows.

Seventh Match: SUPER ELASTIC defeated KARATE MAN in a 30-minute Iron Man match to win the World cruiserweight championship. The falls took place as follows:

• Karate Man pinned Super Elastic in 4:34;
• Super Elastic pinned Karate Man in 6:03;
• Karate Man pinned Super Elastic in 7:23;
• Super Elastic pinned Karate Man in 23:10;
• Super Elastic scored a submission on Karate Man in 28:47.

KERMIT THE FROG drove the PWL HOTLINE into the ground with an enormously shrill plug, then was allowed by DARK ANGEL an interview with THE TERROR. Among other things, Terror threatened to sue Fox Television for an upcoming TV series titled Dark Angel, as well as for a cartoon series featuring a character named Stewie. He then shouted at Cap'n Crunch for not winning the Midgets' title quickly enough, and dumped a gallon of an unknown liquid over the Cap'n head.

Eighth Match: THE PILLARS OF PAIN (GOLEM and QUARTZ) defeated THE NEW ORDER (GENERAL ZOD and NON) in 11:17 (2:58 of the third fall) to retain the World tag team championship.

• Zod and Non seemed poised and ready to capture the tag straps, as Non pinned Quartz for the first fall in only 37 seconds. After POP evened the score at the 8:19 mark (Quartz pinned Non), Non inexplicably turned on his Krytonian friend, leaving Zod battered and beaten in the center of the ring. He was easy pickings for the champions, with Golem finally ending the match by pinning the General for the deciding fall.

Ninth Match: BIG SID SMITH "The Neighborhood Bully" (with "Mean Old" MR. McMASTER) pinned COOLEROY in 9:09 in a steel cage to win the North American heavyweight championship.

• Truly an upset, as Cooleroy seemed to be well on his way to victory, when Big sid suddenly pulled out some energy, seemingly from nowhere. He nailed C-roy with his Bully Spike move, followed by the stunning three-count.

Your Main Event: THE TERROR defeated FAT ALBERT, SCHOOLHOUSE ROCKY, and SUPER HEAVY in 27:47 in a Super Four-Way match to retain the World heavyweight title. Here is the sequence in which the wrestlers competed:

• 0:00-3:00 - Schoolhouse Rocky vs. Super Heavy;
• 3:00-6:00 - Schoolhouse Rocky vs. Fat Albert;
• 6:00-9:00 - Fat Albert vs. Super Heavy;
• 9:00-10:25 - Schoolhouse Rocky pins Super Heavy at 10:25;
• 10:25-13:25 - The Terror vs. Schoolhouse Rocky;
• 13:25-16:25 - The Terror vs. Fat Albert;
• 16:25-19:25 - The Terror vs. Schoolhouse Rocky;
• 19:25-21:48 - Fat Albert pins Schoolhouse Rocky at 21:48;
• 21:48-27:47 - The Terror pins Fat Albert at 27:47.
