PWL MONDAY QUESTIONABLE

MONDAY, MAY 8, 2000 - BINGTIDDLE CENTER, MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA.

The show opened with World heavyweight champion THE TERROR demanding a 7-Up, as well as legitimate competition. PWL President GENE WEST arrived and promised Terror tough matches not only here, but at the PWL22 show on June 10. Tonight, Terror is challenged for the World title by GRIMACE in a No Holds Barred match. Backstage, Grimace celebrated getting a shot by destroying one of DIRK MERCURY's pool tables.

Opening Match: MRS. BUTTERWORTH and URSA vs. DARK ANGEL and ALICE THE GOON. The Women's champion teamed up with the all-powerful Ursa in this tag match against the inimitable Terror associate and her incoherent friend. The bout focused mainly on Ursa and Alice, as Mrs. B was constantly drawn into ringside battles by Dark Angel. Ursa picked up the win for Butterworth and herself, pinning Alice following a butterfly superplex in 5:49.

Second Match: NC-17 (DIRK MERCURY and TRIPLE X) vs. BIG HEAD GUY and FAT DUDE (w/ FU). Dirk and X made mincemeat of their opponents and wacky sidekick in this contest, easily getting the victory as Mercury pinned Fat Dude in 4:34.

Third Match: STARSHINE HIPPIE vs. DR. DEMENTIA. Starshine continued his foray into the heavyweight scene and notched a win in his belt here by defeating Dementia in 5:19, thanks to the dreaded SHSHoTP.

Fourth Match, North American tag team championship: LONG SWEET LIPS (FOOT and TANKA SATCHMO, champions, w/ MONDO MBAMBA) vs. THE SEXECUTIONERS (DON JEREMY and BUCK NAKED). This was another in that series of battles between former Fat Albert Gang members. This matchup began in a civil fashion, but degenerated into a standard PWL-style brawl, thereby leading referee BURT COOPER to call for a healthy double-DQ in 7:33.

Fifth Match: THE NEW ORDER (GENERAL ZOD and NON, w/ URSA) vs. RUFUS VAN PELT and BILLY JO JIVE (w/ "Sweet" SUSIE SUNSET). RVP and BJJ attempted to elevate themselves into Zod and Non's territory, that being perceived as legitimate World tag title contenders. Rufus and Billy put up an amazing effort, but Zod an Non proved why they are still in a serious hunt for those World tag straps by putting up the win here. Zod pinned RVP in 9:14.

SCHOOLHOUSE ROCKY cut a promo, in which he announced that he had two victories over the World champion, and should therefore receive another shot at The Terror. SHR was interrupted by FAT ALBERT, who said he deserved a shot, having held the World title for three consecutive years and that Terror could never defeat him without political help. GENE WEST showed up again, informing both Rocky and Albert that Grimace was next in line for the title, but something may be worked out for June 10.

Backstage, THE TERROR watched the goings-on on his TV monitor. He informed the cameraman that political help or not, he'll be the damn World champion until he feels like jobbing, not when somebody tells him to do so.

Sixth Match, World cruiserweight championship: KARATE MAN (champion) vs. NONAGON (challenger). Once again, Karate Man turned away another challenge for the c-weight belt. Here, he pinned Nonagon in 4:01. He grabbed the house mic and announced that he saw no worthy challenges ahead of him in the PWL. As if on cue from the PWL Suits standing backstage, out strolled SUPER ELASTIC. He picked up a few wins here and there, and would welcome the opportunity to stretch the champion into painful submission. Elastic also promised he would bruise Karate Man on the outside, not just inside.

Seventh Match, North American heavyweight championship: COOLEROY (champion) vs. HUMAN TORNADO (challenger). Fighting champion that he is, Cooleroy put the coveted NA gold up for grabs against this former World champion. Cooleroy continued his rise to PWL immortality by putting Human Tornado away to successfully defend his title, pinning HT in 11:08 following a running powerslam.

Eighth Match: FAT ALBERT vs. SCHOOLHOUSE ROCKY, special referee GENE WEST. Gene West signed this match himself, deciding that if these two wrestlers wanted a go at the World title, they should prove it in the ring. There was a setback, however, when both men refused to fight. SHR would not cooperate, noting that since he had already beaten Fat Albert, he had nothing to prove fighting him again. Fat Albert announced that Rocky was too much of a spoiled punk, not knowing true brilliance when he saw it, and Albert refused to cooperate. Enter SUPER HEAVY. He had been watching the proceedings backstage in Terror's dressing room when the Champ was on the Throne. He entered the ring and attacked both Fat Albert and Schoolhouse Rocky. As FA and SHR fell out of he ring, PWL Security arrived to escort Super Heavy away. Gene west intervened, and curiously escorted Heavy to the back himself, chatting the whole way.

Ninth Match, Your Main Event, World heavyweight championship: THE TERROR (champion, w/ DARK ANGEL) vs. GRIMACE (challenger). These two have fought before, with The Terror always picking up the win. Whetehre it was because of booker apathy, or whatever, the same finish was employed here. Grimace used every move in his arsenal, but thirty seconds in, he was fresh out and in dire need of a smoke break. The champion went to work at this point, stunning Grimace with comparatively technical moves such as punches, kicks, and eye rakes. Once Terror turned on the real wrestling moves, poor Grimace was so flustered he began to wobble violently, nearly causing the ring to collapse. Terror caught Grimace and decided to put everybody out of their misery bu slapping on the Terror Spike, then securing the un, deux, trois, and the dubya for his own self. In 6:33, your winner and still World heavyweight champion, THE TERROR.
