MONDAY NIGHT THING

MONDAY, APRIL 10, 2000 - STUPEROUS FUNKER AUDITORIUM - TULSA, OK

Match One, Midgets' World championship: NAUGA (champion) vs. ORKO (challenger, w/ SKELETOR). The match went back and forth for several minutes, and Orko had many chances to take the coveted midgets' gold. Six minutes in, CAP'N CRUNCH arrived to distract the wrestlers, but was swiftly thwarted by Skeletor, who elbowed the former champ, then chased him to the back. Nauga seized control and executed his moonsault to perfection, and pinned Orko in 9:03.

Match Two, Women's World championship: DARK ANGEL(champion, w/ CAP'N CRUNCH) vs. MRS. BUTTERWORTH (challenger). Butterworth was primed and ready to regain the strap, and had Angel on the defensive for much of the contest. Unfortunately, the Cap'n once again attempted to interfere. he succeeded, by handing Angel a Crunch Berries box super-secretly loaded with a brick. Dark Angel connected with Mrs. B's skull, but before she could get the pin, THUMBELINA and AUNT RHODY stormed the ring, attacking Dark Angel and the Cap'n. The ladies' champ escaped, but Butterworth, Thumbelina, and Rhody triple-teamed the bizarre Crunch for several seconds before tossing him out of the ring. As Angel carried Cap'n to the back, the announcement was made that, since the ref did not see the brick, and the first instance of interference he noticed was on Butterworth's behalf, Dark Angel was declared the DQ winner in 7:54.

Match Three: KARATE MAN vs. SUEDE SIMPSON. Karate Man made a short time of it in this match, easily outwitting and outmatching the overwhelmed Suede. KM got the win with a thrust kick to Suede's head, followed by the pinfall in 3:43.

Match Four: THE ELECTRIC MAYHEM (DR. TEETH and FLOYD PEPPER, w/ ANIMAL, ESMERALDA, and ZOOT "The Sexiest Muppet on Earth") vs. NC-17 (DIRK MERCURY and TRIPLE X). NC-17, still very angry over losing the World tag belts at WrestleRama, took their frustrations out of The Electric Mayhem. Teeth and Floyd were well-prepared, however, and their entire entourage took part in this match. With all of the participants and ringside hangers-on involved in this violent battle, the referee ended up calling for a healthy double-DQ in 6:11, but the fight raged on for several minutes afterwards.

Match Five, World cruiserweight championship: STARSHINE HIPPIE (champion) vs. TANKA SATCHMO (challenger, w/ MONDO MBAMBA). In yet another battle between Starshine and the c-weights of Long Sweet Lips, the Hippie once again proved why he's been programmed into a generous reign as champion, defeating Tanka via the good ole SHSHoTP in 7:29.

Match Six, North American tag team championship: RUFUS VAN PELT and BILLY JO JIVE (champions, w/ "Sweet" SUSIE SUNSET) vs. IGGY and FRANKIE SHROYER (challengers, w/ WEIRD HAROLD). The PWL Suits were so impressed by the Shroyers at the PWL Training Camp, they were immediately pushed into title contention here. As Weird Harold cheered his Shroyers on, they mesmerized the champions with a vast array of aerial tactics. In what had to be seen to be truly appreciated, Iggy climbed to the top rope, Frankie followed him and stood atop Iggy's shoulders, and performed a shocking Shooting Star Press onto Billy Jo Jive. Referee BURT COOPER counted 1... 2... 3! In 8:43, your winners and NEW North American tag team champions, IGGY and FRANKIE SHROYER! The rest of the Shroyer family showed up and happily celebrated in the ring.

Match Seven: SCHOOLHOUSE ROCKY vs. M. KLEATS (w/ MONDO MBAMBA). Before SHR could spout his arrogant monologue, Kleats attacked him as the bell sounded. Clearly Rocky wasn't ready for this assault, and quickly fled for the back. Kleats and Mondo caught him, though, and tossed him into the ring so Kleats could resume the onslaught. Alas, poor M. missed a clothesline, and SHR grabbed hold of the opportunity, taking M. Kleats to school in the ring. After a sit-down piledriver, only three slaps of the mat were necessary to determine Schoolhouse Rocky the winner in 7:45.

Match Eight, World tag team championship: THE PILLARS OF PAIN (GOLEM and QUARTZ, champions, w/ DARK ANGEL) vs. THE SEXECUTIONERS (DON JEREMY and BUCK NAKED, challengers). In a rematch of sorts from WrestleRama 14, Don and Buck received a straight-on shot at the World tag belts. Could they get past the massive POP to secure the straps for their waists? They tried, oh how they tried, but no. Golem and Quartz retained the championship by manhandling their opponents, as Quartz pinned Buck in 6:48.

Match Nine, Main Event, World heavyweight championship, Four-Way Match:THE TERROR (champion) vs. COOLEROY (challenger) vs. FAT ALBERT (challenger) vs. BIG SID SMITH "The Neighborhood Bully" (challenger, w/ "Mean Old" MR. McMASTER). Due to "time constraints" (wrestling jargon for "booker was getting sleepy"), this match would end with one pin, the pinner winning the World championship, regardless of the wrestler pinned. The contest degenerated into two one-on-one matches, with Terror brawling with Cooleroy, and Big Sid Smith duking it out with Fat Albert. Thankfully for the World champion, and future storylines, The Terror scored the pinfall on a stunned Big Sid Smith, who had just been slammed with a one-way sign by Fat Albert. Terror rolled BSS up, and picked up the win in 14:03. Follwoing the match, Terror, Cooleroy, and Fat Albert scampered to the back as Smith went on a rampage, declaring himself to still be undefeated and that "you'll all pay for this outrage."
