The women enter the Decagon, and security locks the door behind them. The bell rings, and the match begins. The fans are cheering wildly as Angel and Eliza attack each other with various kicks, punches, and the requisite hair-pulling. Angel gains the early advantage and lands several backhand chops on Eliza, then scoopslams her. Angel goes to work on the floor, bashing the champion with a kneedrop, following up with half crab. Dark Angel flips Eliza Blade around, somersaults atop Blade, and West makes the count. Eliza is still full of power, and kicks out at one. Angel continues her assault, landing a suplex. Angel then picks up Eliza and keeps her at bay with a headlock. Gene West checks to make sure Eliza isn't being choked. Dark Angel takes advantage of West's momentary lapse of concentration by pulling Eliza's hair, leading into a Russian legsweep. West makes the count again, but the champion kicks out at two. With the majority of the crowd behind Eliza Blade, she begins to catch her second wind, and slowly but surely gains control of the bout with several elbows to Angel's gut. Blade whips her challenger into the cage, and Angel falls backwards to the floor, in a confused state. Eliza takes full advantage, and stuns her foe with a piledriver. The former champion is still alert, though, as she kicks out of the follow-up pin attempt. Eliza Blade remains in charge, though, and incapacitates Dark Angel with a variety of mat maneuvers. Many two counts are counted, but Angel continues to fight the champion. After about three minutes of floor grappling, the champion picks up Dark Angel, and puts Angel down with a fisherman's suplex. Still battling, Dark Angel once again kicks out. Eliza senses that the challenger is about ready for the end, nailing Angel with four elbowsmashes. Eliza attempts the Fisherman's suplex again, but Dark Angel blocks it, and turns the tide. Angel hits a Spike DDT on the champion, and immediately moves into a small-package rollup. West makes the count: 1, 2, 3! In a high-paced contest, we have a NEW Women's World champion, Dark Angel.
WORLD CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH:
VENOM (champion) vs.
STARSHINE HIPPIE (challenger).
Referee: GENE WEST.
With no ring ropes or the ability to exit the SuperCage, these high-flying wrestlers seem to be at a disadvantage. As always, challenger Starshine Hippie enters first, followed by the electrifying champion, Venom. Mr. West calls for the bell, and the match is underway. Being well-versed in PWL brutality, Starshine alters his style and attacks Venom right as the bell sounds. Starshine dropkicks Venom into the cage, and proceed to bust him open with several headsmashes into the cage. Starshine snapmares Venom, then dropkicks him in the back. The champion snaps back and hits his head hard on the floor. Starshine makes the early pin attempt, and almost gets the belt back. Champion that he is, though, Venom kicks out at two. Hippie continues his assault on the champion, and levels him with a brutal powerbomb. Sensing that Venom would once again kick out, Starshine Hippie makes no pin attempt, and continues his offense, landing several throat chops, as well as the not-pretty-but-effective kicks to the gut. Starshine, taking a cue from last night's tag team match, attempts to resurrect his aerial offense by climbing the side of the cage. As Venom gets up, Starshine flips himself onto the champion in a flying bodypress. Once again, Venom has the strength to kick out at two. Starshine is on a roll, though, and tries a Tornado DDT. Venom cuts him off, though, and reverses the move by tossing the challenger over his back and to the floor. Venom, when a sudden burst of energy, executes a standing backflip onto Starshine. Only a one count, though, as the challenger still has plenty of energy. All the energy in the world, however, is no match for a superkick to the face, as Starshine Hippie falls down in a heap. Realizing this may the best chance to finish, Venom leaps up, grabs the top of the SuperCage, starts to sway back and forth as if on a jungle gym. At the right moment, Venom lets go, flips himself onto Starshine, and West makes the count: 1, 2, ... NO! Hippie kicks out. Not missing a beat, though, Venom jumps to his fett, picks up Starshine, and blasts him with a dropkick. As Hippie staggers, Venom slaps on a belly-to-back suplex. Venom bridges up, and the confused Hippie is no match for the mighty THREE COUNT OF DOOM from Gene West. Your winner, and still World cruiserweight champion, VENOM!
