WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH:
STRIKE FORCE (BEAST and CARNAGE, champions) vs.
THE PILLARS OF PAIN (GOLEM and QUARTZ, challengers).
Referee: GENE WEST.

Both the challengers and champions make their way to the imposing Decagon.  The teams' fellow PIT and CMI mates are allowed to remain nearby, but PWL security, in addition to the cage itself, make interference seemingly impossible.  West calls for the bell, and all four participants have at it.  Golem begins against Beast, while Carnage and Quartz do battle in another section of the cage.  West concentrates on the Golem-Beast battle, as shall this report at this point.  Both men trade punches, before Golem lands a low blow and takes the advantage.  Several head bashes ino the side of the cage for Beast, and Golem rakes Beast's head into the cage, busting open the burly Brit.  Early pin attempt on the hard floor by Golem, but only gets a one count on the titleholder.  Golem lifts Beast off the floor, and whips him across the cage.  Golem charges, but Beast moves, and Golem gets a taste of the cage.  As Golem staggers around in drunken fashion, Beast lands a DDT, and the crowd senses an early finish.  West counts 1, 2, but the former tag kingpin kicks out, a bit battered, but still plenty of fight in him.

As those two continue their one-on-one assault, we find Carnage and Quartz doing much of the same in their section of the cage.  As Gene west wanders over to inspect their brawl, he sees Quartz perform a massive belly-to-belly suplex on Carnage, with both wrestlers hitting the floor with a blunt thud.  As the crowd lets out a collective "uhhh," West makes a count attempt, but both combatants are back to their feet in a hurry, and begin trading low blows to see which can withstand the punishment.  It turns out that neither can, and Quartz and Carnage are flat on their backs in utter pain.  Beast and Golem interrupt their ruckus to notice the fallen wrestlers and both make pin attempts.  West does a simultaneous 1, 2, but Quartz and Carnage have the wherewithal to shoulder up.

At this point, the four men trade off, as Carnage takes on Golem, with Beast and Quartz doing battle.  Beast lands an elbow, and attempts a might legdrop, but Quartz wisely moves away, and takes control of their battle.  A move that impressed those in attendance was Quartz putting Beast in a headlock, then proceeding to run towards the cage, run up the cage several feet, and reversing direction, landing a brutal bulldog to the fans' amazement.  Still, the tag titleholder was still aware of his surroundings, and kicked out of the ensuing pin attempt.

Meanwhile, Carnage and Golem were busy beating each other into bloody messes.  It was the Strike Force member that gained the advantage in this matchup, as Carnage nailed Golem with a vicious elbow to the nose that sent the challenger staggering back to the cage.  One Russian legsweep later, Carnage had Golem begging for mercy, as the champion was, with determination, rubbing Golem's face into the concrete floor.  Sensing Golem's temporary confusion, Carnage left him on the floor and helped Beast to wipe out Quartz.  As Golem lay motionless, Beast and Carnage take advantage, pummeling Quartz relentlessly.  Several times Quartz was flung backwards into the cage.  A steady stream of double teaming led to a equally steady stream of blood from the face of Quartz.  Still, the challenger refused to go down without a fight, as he began to stagger the champions with a barrage of rights and lefts.  By this time, Golem was back on his feet, and he helped his partner fight off the tag champions.  Perhaps by coincidence, Golem and Quartz were able to land simultaneous DDTs on Carnage and Beast, respectively.  Could this be it?  West counts: 1, 2, ...

Uh-uh!  The champions, resilient as ever, kick out, and find another burst of energy as they brutalize the Pillars.  Beast and Carnage once again slam Quartz into the cage, and Beast lays out Golem with a powerbomb.  At this point, Carnage shocks the audience as he begins scaling the cage.  Once at the top, he begins to crawl along the top of the cage.  He continues until he right above Golem.  Then, Beast jumps up and pulls Carnage off the top of the cage, and with full force, Carnage lands back-first onto a still-prone Golem.  As the assembled masses scream in a combination of excitement, bweilderment, and horror, Gene West makes yet another count.  1, 2, yes, it's THREE!  Beast and Carnage are your winners, they remain the World tag team champions.  This was definitely the most brutal matchup for both teams in their PWL careers, and both the Force and the Pillars proved why they are the top two tag teams in the organization, if not the world.
