In the opening match, MASCARITA DIABLO ended the three-week midgets' title
reign of CAP'N CRUNCH. Diablo used a Michinoku Driver II, followed
by a cover for the easy three count. Diablo is now a two-time PWL
Midgets' champion. Time of the match was 6:09.

The second bout on the card pitted three women in a contest to determine
the number one contender to Women's champion DARK ANGEL. Relative
newcomer ELIZA BLADE outlasted former champion URSA and ALICE THE GOON
in an all-out brawl, which the fans seemed to enjoy immensely. Blade
picked up the win by nailing Alice with a DDT, and rolling her up for the
one, two, three. Time of the match was 10:12.

The next match was another number one contendership bout, this time in
the cruiserweight division. The veteran ULTIMO PUERCO met a tough
opponent in VENOM. Both men were more than prepared to combat each
other's maneuvers. Puerco hammered Venom with his famed moonsault
bodyslam finisher, but the intended result was not to be, as Venom kicked
out at the count of two. Venom, too, punished Ultimo Puerco, at one
point delivering a corkscrew plancha to an awaiting Puerco. Venom
rolled UP into the ring, but could not finish hime off. The match,
which met with much enthusiasm by the crowd, ended up in a twenty-minute
draw. Both wrestlers were exhausted, but wanted to continue.
PWL President GENE WEST took the microphone, and announced that there would
be a rematch between Venom and Puerco at the May 2 PWL card, with no time
limit, as there must be a number one contender to cruiserweight champion
STARSHINE HIPPIE.

The rematch between World tag team champions THE PILLARS OF PAIN and NC-17
devolved into a donnybrook at the outset. All four men brought in
any illegal objects they could get their hands on, and the ensuing brawl
was very exciting to see, if not easy to officiate. At the 3:30 point,
the referee was about to declare the match a no-contest, when former champions
STRIKE FORCE, with manager KHAINE, attacked both tag teams. The ref,
frightened for good reason, threw his hands in the air and retreated to
the dressing room area, as all seven men bloodied and bruised each other
relentlessly. The carnage (no pun intended) went on for another six
or seven minutes, before PWL security finally summoned the courage to break
up the mayhem. It is assumed that the ruling was a no contest.

CARNAGE, BEAST, and Khaine remained at ringside as it was time for Carnage's
shot at PWL North American champion THE TERROR. The always-confidant
Terror was accompanied by mentor JOE THE GIANT, which increased Terror's
chances of retaining the belt. Terror and Carnage squared off in
a highly brutal contest, as bickering went on between JTG and Beast and
Khaine. At the 7:00 mark, the ref got too close to the action and
was briefly knocked out, but it was long enough for the outsiders to enter
the ring and help their respective allies. JTG landed a chokeslam
on Carnage, but Beast was able to propel Joe outside the ring, where those
two continued their brawl. Khaine got in on the fun, slamming the
timekeeper's bell into the head of Terror. Carnage seized the opportunity,
and went for the pin. One... two... KICK OUT by Terror. As
Khaine and Carnage jawed with the ref, Dark Angel ran to ringside, grabbed
the North American title belt, and threw it in to The Terror. As
DA got Khaine's attention, Carnage turned around and was clobbered by the
championship strap. One... two... KICK OUT by Carnage. Terror
decided to end the match at this point and clocked the referee with the
title belt. No decision was announed, as the ref was out cold, but
it can be assumed that Carnage is the DQ winner at about 11:20. While
the Suits and Security led the downed official out of the ring and to the
back, a breif intermission was announced.

Follwoing intermission came the World heavyweight championship match between
champion PLAGUE and challenger GRIMACE. For all of his bragging in
recent weeks, the Purple Menace proved to be no match this time for the
burly World champion, as Plague seized the upper hand at the opening bell
and pummeled Grimace endlessly. It took only 2:27 for "Doomsday"
to fall on the weary challenger, as Plague experienced perhaops his easiest
title defense to date, in any organization.
