In the openeing match, DARK ANGEL of THE PIT defeated former Women's champion
MRS. BUTTERWORTH by pinfall. Butterworth opened the bout on the offensive,
but Angel was able to turn the tide, and pinned Butterworth following an
inside cradle. Surprisingly, no Pit interference was neede in this
match.
-
Cruiserweight champion STARSHINE HIPPIE retained his title with a win over
? (QUESTION MARK). ? dazzled the fans with high flying moves, and
at one point executed an huracanrana on Hippie from the top rope to the
floor. Hippie bounced back, however, and secured the victory with
a Tornado DDT and pinfall.

CAP'N CRUNCH had no trouble in defeating the talented, but inexperienced,
KID DY-NO-MITE. Crunch thrashed the Kid back and forth, around the
ring. Crunch managed several two-counts, only to pull the Kid off
the mat. As the jeers and trash rained onto the ring, the Cap'n finally
polished off Dy-No-Mite with a top-rope superplex, and finally the
one, two, three. As a result of his win, Crunch receives a midgets'
championship shot at a later date.
-
THE PILLARS OF PAIN (GOLEM & QUARTZ) moved up to the number two contender
position with a win over former tag champs THE THUNDERFEET. The match
lasted a decent amount of time, but it was thoroughly dominated by the
POP. The bout ended with POP spike-piledriving THUNDERFOOT 2, and
GOLEM making the cover for the victory.
-
Intermission.

World tag team champions STRIKE FORCE (BEAST & CARNAGE) (w/KHAINE at
ringside) defended their titles against the impromptu tandem of COOLEROY
& HUMAN TORNADO. The new team looked to be rusty in this match,
but were able to keep up with the tag champions for a period of time.
About five minutes in, though, Beast and Carnage took control and kept
Cooleroy and Tornado on the run with quick tags and power moves.
The champs were able to put Tornado in their Eliminator finishing move,
the Pillars of Pain rushed to the ring, attacking the champions.
As Human Tornado and Cooleroy walked to the back, POP & SF brawled
in and out of the ring for three or four minutes, until they finally fought
their way to the dressing rooms.
-
THE TERROR continued his impressive stint in the PWL, needing only 5:40
to pin former World champion HULK BIXBY. Terror withstood the vicious
big boot-legdrop combo from Bixby, kicking out before the referee had a
chance to make a count. Terror then taunted the Hulkster by performing
the trademark Hulk-a-sizing shakes. Terror then kicked Bixby in the
head, following up with the Terror Spike. Three seconds later, chalk
up another pinfall win for the Terror.
-
Heavyweight champion PLAGUE took on a thorn in the champ's side, GRIMACE,
in the main event. Grimace surprised the champ and those in attendance
by gaining the upper hand at the outset of the match. Utilizing takedown
moves and mat holds, Grimace was able to put Plague down for a one-count.
Plague was able to take control of the match following a lapse in concentartion
by the Purple Menace, though, and soon the champion was on a roll.
As Plague took charge, though, Terror made his way to the ring and began
taunting the champion from the floor. Seeing this from the dressing
room, tag champs Strike Force approached the ring and began screaming at
Terror from across the ring. Then came the crucial moment in the
match, as Grimace whipped Plague into the corner. Terror held the
champion in the corner as Grimace connected with an avalanche. Seeing
this, Strike Force entered the ring, immediately followed by Terror, as
all five men began brawling for a few seconds, before Terror and Grimace
left the ring. They shouted obscenities at the Triple Threat as they
headed to the dressing room. The ref's official decision was a no-contest.
