This Winter
This winter has been hard,
Illness has a strong hold;
Winds blow with falling snow,
And the air is frigidly cold.
But I refuse to lose hope,
In His will and His time;
God will bring us the spring,
And we will sing a new rhyme.
As the snow continues to fall,
I realize I am again housebound;
But Jesus is my companion,
In Him I have love few have found.
I have found a lasting joy,
In the presence of my God;
He guides me through the rough days,
Then smiles and gives a nod.
Yes, this winter has been rough,
But my Lord stays at my side;
And someday I will be with Him,
At the end of this exciting ride.
