I would rather walk in the dark with God,

God's bright glory can show me the way;

God sent His Son to die for me,
Such a sacrifice I cannot ignore;
The cross was such a cruel way to die,
And He did it to open the door.

He opened the door which leads to heaven,
A way to the Father was opened to us;
He gave us a chance to find forgiveness,
He asked us only repent and trust.

The Lord will never forsake us,
That's the promise He gives;
Anyone who accepts Jesus Christ,
Will find that forever he lives.

Yes, I'd rather walk in the dark with God,
Because I know His love never dies;
He saved me so I could be with Him,
His Word never shares lies.
